It's not a ban on religion, it's a ban on jewellery. There is nowhere in the bible that says we have to wear a cross as a sign of our faith and they said that she could wear it under her uniform which is not something which would be suitable for a hijab or niqab (unless you wear a hard hat for work). It's all been blown out of complete proportion and people need to get some perspective on this issue as well as the issues surrounding the veil - it's all just an excuse to create headlines.
Worry about something serious like the actual war that we are fighting and bringing our troops back safely leaving a safe and stable country behind them.

Britain is a Christian country, and the head of the Protestant faith is the Queen.
British Airways should have their right to use the name, taken off them by the Queen, for not following the Monarchy, and the faith of the country!

has the world gone mad there are 34 thousand staff at B A if we are going to discriminate against one person wearing a small christian symbol then remove all of the religious symbols from the different religions of the people who work for the company. ie turbans etc
