Sounds a bit far fetched but is there any other better way of destroying those gender gaps and acrimonies and prejudices?

Do you agree that we nowdays in this day and age hardly acknowledge the importance of the opposite sex??

Why is it so hard or we are so unwilling to express our natural feelings for the opposite sex?

Because less is expected of them, and they can always fall back on a man (my boss said this last week)

I have a theory:
Those who hate feminism, do so because they don't like being made to feel guilty for things that they are not personally responsible for. It could also be a resistance to the guilt that comes with acknowledging one's privilege.

Just so you know, privilege doesn’t mean that you are a bad person, and doesn’t mean that your life is easy, it just means that in certain situations, you are given advantages over people who are not part of your privileged group. If something goes badly for you and you are the one with the privilege, imagine how it goes for the one without it!

I am always stressed, and I want to know if meditation helps you achieve a form of balance in your life and how exactly do you meditate? Example, do you just clear your mind or what?

Do adult women in the media have the responsibility to not over-emphasize their own sexuality? How does this tie in to your views about "embracing one's sexuality" or being "proud of one's body"? If a woman feels that she needs to compete with other scantily clad women on MTV in order to further her career, what responsibility does she hold for how she allows herself to be portrayed?

Why should women be taken seriously when they blame hormones for all their bad behavior? You still have a brain and you can control your self. I don't accept this excuse, nor do I respect any woman that uses it.

Shouldn't men who've found no success with the opposite sex emulate men who are succesful? Shouldn't we be more like them?

I know that PMS has different implications for different women, but is it really safe to trust the world's largest collection of nuclear weapons to someone who may suffer from irrational bouts of anger once a month?

Not trying to sound sexist...

In Portland Oregon, two 14 year old girls were involved in a gross public display of affection. Not just kissing, but deep kissing and heavy petting. So the people on the bus complained, and the driver asked them to stop, they didn’t, so off they went. Now HE’S in trouble for telling them to stop and kicking them! Am I the only one to think this is ludicrous? It’s not a gender/sexual preference thing either, THEY’RE 14! Where are their parents?!?

Between my entire woman and me!… You don't have the RIGHT to tell me how to live my life, so drop the whole "societal norm" stuff.

In our culture, before the wedding a woman is put on a horse or mule, side saddle, and then knocked off when she least expects it...this way, he head will never swell with false pride, and her mouth will never utter a foul word toward the leader of the family.

Look at your American culture...you woman are the most unhappy female in the entire world. You work like dogs, you spend until you have no money, your gadgets and cell phone and walkmans are useless, and empty. Your marriages are shams. You idle gossip and backbite like vicious animals. Your programs on TV promote infidelity, and multiple partners (without a oath to God of marriage), and yet you judge your men so harshly.

Is it any wonder you get the wrath of your man/boyfriend and even husband for trying to BE a man?

Now what say you, "modern", insolent woman? Tell us, NOW!

Hmmm i like human relationship and human studies, so i know for a fact no one really brings out their true self during courtship, well you can tell me you are real and so and so, yes i do agree there is a minority of you around, im one of them, Im sexually abused when i was a kid, i stole a car for joyride when i was 14, i smoked marijuana twice just to try, had 4 gf before, one was real love, at least i thought it was, one was looking for emotional support and the other two came for sex disguising love as a reason, yup women do that too,, my question is how real are you to your partner ? tell me the percentage and dont worry i know its natural, its nature, human nature to hide the bad part and show the good part, and how many are there who really shows their true side ? real true side ? i beleive my partner should know me inside out even though there is a chance they wont like me, its better that way, saves myself the time to get married and get a divorce later on when she finds out

Statistically, the vast majority of shoplifters are women.

Most women find shoplifting to be a rush. Even if the women have the money to buy it -- we all remember the wealthy actress Winona Ryder getting busted for her shoplifting stints.

Women -- be honest, have you ever shoplifted, or have you at least thought about it at one point in time?

And I am a man, but I did shoplift once in my life. But I was a teenager doing "teenage" things. It wasn't a "rush," it was just me wanting a football jersey and I didn't have the money.

why do you bother with us then?

By the questions that get posted here on Womens Studies one can only assume that the male gender is full of hate towards females, and yet men are still sniffing around wanting a little somthing. Is that all there is to it? Should we just give up and go back to the one night stands of the '70's. Is that what would make you guys happy? It obviously isn't our scintillating conversation.

Goes without saying that there are countless issues and that too dependant on situations and circumstances.

But never the less we can atleast try and explore the root of it all or perhaps the biggest issue or problem and then try and find an answer to it.

Since we are going to be sharing our views i would like to express mine----RAPE !!!

In my opinion this henious act is the root cause of gender gap and much of illwill.

What do you think??

Every time i look in the womens studies category a guy makes a rude comment and some woman makes a comment of not needing guys and that the sperm bank is only a drive away. Isn't it a little selfish when women actually do this? I mean why would you want to have a child when you know you can't give it every thing you possibly can? Pleasy don't bash me im simply asking a question.

A very interesting mindset i observed while reading the responses to my previous question.

A drunk woman saying yes to sex while highly intoxicated, rates right up with a small child who does not know any better.

In that case a man who is equally intoxicated and who has sex with this woman is responsible and punished as a rapist.

Why is the man not considerd a small child who does not know any better ?

Why is he held responsible for something that both parties were equally guilty to???

Indeed why are women not sent to sent to jail for having sex after consumption of alcohol or medicants , why only men???

Are we saying here that men can never be totally intoxicated and lose their capacity to decide but women always do???

Why doesent the legal system enact laws to ensure social responsibility rather than making one particualr gender scape goats for the systems own inability to deal with this problem?

In the end is this mindset really helping anyone?
