Shouldn't men who've found no success with the opposite sex emulate men who are succesful? Shouldn't we be more like them?

Lots of reasons. She thinks she can't do better. She thinks she can change him. She believes him when he promises to change, and she waits for it to happen because he owes it to her after all he's done to her. Some women think it's a compliment when a bad guy wants her, because he hates everyone else, so she must be something special if he looks at her.
Most generally, a woman like that says she wants her man to be normal, but in reality she would act dysfunctional around a normal man. So don't be sad if you lose a woman to a "bad boy". She was never going to be any good.

Women who choose men like that are perpetual victims, they feel they cannot survive unless they are treated like crap. These women usually do not shift out of this...and a successful man wouldn't want a woman that is in this mode of lifestyle. A successful man deserves a stable woman.

NO! Those women who are like that have very low self esteem and are just attracted to guys who treat them badly because 1. They know no differently and 2. They allow it. Some women and men need to be with someone no matter what that someone does to them ... Its sad really.
If you were more like them you'd be on dath row do you really want to be raped by other men and then put to death .. If you do be my guest!

This is a very lamentable tendency of a small portion of women. Why in God's name would you spend a second on guys in prison when there are so many good (less exciting) men available?

I have often wondered that myself. Probably it's the motherly instinct coming to the fore. Me? I can continue to live without women like these and will continue to limit my criminal activities to creeping through stop lights when I am sure that no vehicles are approaching.

Although there is a proverb in my country that says "The more you beat me, the more I like you", I must say I've never met any women who actually concurred with this...

Most women are not like that. The women who ARE generally have mental and/or emotional problems.
Where are you meeting these women? What age range are they?

i know lots of women like this...but i dont get it i would NEVER let my standards get that low...if my husband were to hit me he BETTER make it worth it cuz I'm gonna punch back and then divorce him so....these women are they types that have low self esteem and cannot handle the thought of being alone, being independent there the ones with no job and cracked out boyfriends!!
