I have a few couples who are married but they are open to other sexual activities, at one time i thought that its ussually the hubby pressures the women into it, but its not the case with 2 of the couple`s i know, it was the women who initiate it, so i guess my opinion just went dont the drain about the hubby pressuring, is it a product of the modern lifestyle ? is it because women are more liberated in their sex life, or is it becuase marriage is getting more and more of just a institution for making babies ? hmmm wonder if real love exists anymore or ppl just becoming an item just outta lust ? oh well, times is changing i suppose, in some ways i need to change myself too, just to protect myself i guess, anyway its just a curiousity question,,,dont burn me for this question, its a reality and it is happening, and if someone from this kind of relationship is around then i would love to know whats your opinion and the pro`s and con`s of it,

I instructed her not to talk to that guy down at the gym but she did. So I took her car and stereo away and told her she wouldn't get it back till she behaved. Is there anything else I should do?

I've already had a moron put me on block because I disagreed with her. If you're too much of a coward to deal with debate and conflict, you shouldn't be on Yahoo Answers, much less in the real world.

I was told that it's not ok to tell a woman she is ugly, because she might get demoralized, but it's ok to tell a man he's ugly. Why? Why don't women consider the fact that there might be sensitive guys out there? In fact, most guys are.

Do you ever feel torn between being strong and independant, and just wanting to curl up and have a big strong man hold you and give you gentle kisses on the head and tell you everything will be alright?

I would never be able to tell a girl to her face that she was ugly. even if she asked for my opinion AND if I thought she looked bad.
But most women wouldn't think twice about telling a guy what they think of his looks!

Although on the outside it seems the other way round, the truth is that females have a far more COMMON tendency to be cruel, brutal, evil and tough. Exceptions exist, of course.

Tell me what you think, guys and ladies.

Today, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) applauded Reps. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Chris Shays (R-CT) and Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) for introducing the “Access to Birth Control (ABC) Act.” The act addresses the growing and troubling trend of pharmacy refusals, protecting women's access to birth control at pharmacies and guaranteeing they will receive prescriptions and over-the-counter products in-store, without discrimination or delay.

Here's Planned Parenthood's press release about the "ABC" act and why it is needed:

Here's US women's first-hand accounts of being refused birth control at pharmacies nationwide:

Why do US pharmacists refuse women's prescriptions for birth control and for over-the-counter birth control? Don't pharmacists have a code of conduct?

I keep seeing child support and alimony (aka maintenance) confused. Most divorces are uncontested – few end up in litigation. Alimony is as rare as the white rhino:

"In the past, most alimony awards provided for payments to former wives by breadwinning former husbands. As the culture has changed, so that now most marriages include two wage earners, women are viewed as less dependent, and men are more likely to be primary parents, the courts and spousal support awards have kept pace. More and more, the tradition of men paying and women receiving spousal support is being eroded, and orders of alimony payments from ex-wife to ex-husband are on the rise."

Why do feminists become offended when someone such as Average Joe Smith says feminists do not fight for equality but rather for women's rights. Even some of the most respected feminists on this forum have admitted that feminism is a movement geared towards the advancement of women's rights. One feminist (who shall remain nameless) somewhat stated ''The definition of masculism is not included in the dictionary because it is a newer movement. The dictionary is somewhat outdated.'' Does this mean other definitions may also be outdated, including feminism's? If so, why does this feminist and multiple other use the dictionary's definition of feminism when arguing? What do you make of those two statements?

What I am looking for in best answer:
- Possible explanations.
- Sources supporting your statement(s) if possible.

What I am NOT looking for in an answer:
- Insults whether personal or not.
- Useless blabber (information copied and pasted from a source. If your answer interests me I will check the source out : this is what the source section is for.).

This is actually a follow up to my last question. Women are getting mad that men (ME) may assume they are trashy because of how they dress.

Well I think everyone thats not 12 knows by now that people judge you first by your appearence. Thats just how it is... so why create an image of yourself that is not what you really are and then get angry when people get it wrong?

1) Dealling with the violence--there is a stark difference in our expectations for the genders regarding this. Now I believe I speak for the majority of men when it comes to this. When we're confronted with a violent situation, we're expected to protect and defend ourselves and not cry about it. I'll give a good example for most guys with the school bully. For our little boys we're expected to stand up and fight the bully. If we don't in most cases our parents, either male and/or female, discipline us harshly for not doing so. If you grow up like myself, the last thing your parents will tolerate is 1) not fighting the bully and 2) crying about the situation.

2)Dealing with sexuality--The double standard is reinforced by both sexes in our society. For example, most parents in our country raise their boys to be aggressive sexually or look the other way if they so. However they discipline their daughters harsly for the same behavior.

I hear lots of women say that some guys seem "intimidated" by them. It's more "apprehension" than "intimidation". Do you get that? Lots of guys want to approach nice looking women but sometimes don't because they get the feeling that you're automatically misreading their intentions.

So, why do you think they're intimidated and/or apprehensive and what could you do to make things less so?

Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal estimated 20,000-80,000 women in Nanking, China were raped and killed by Japanese soldiers during the Nanking Massacre in Dec 1937.
* Soldiers searched door-to-door for young girls, who were taken to be gang raped and killed.
* The victims' ages ranging from infants to as old as 80.
* Rapes were sometimes in front of spouses or family members.
* The women were killed immediately after the rape, often by mutilation.
* Sometimes sons were forced to rape their mothers, fathers forced to rape daughters
* Monks who had declared a life of celibacy were forced to rape women for the amusement of the Japanese.

In 1982, the Japanese Ministry of Education censored any mention of the Nanking Massacre in a high school textbook. Their official stance was that "Nanking Massacre was not a well-established historical event."

In an era where we are recognizing the dis-asscociation of physical gender/sex vs. mental gender, what is a "woman"? If you are a male-to-female, you think of yourself as a woamn, but you may run into other definitions in society. For example, a MtF can never carry a baby, but does that make her any less a woman? And if we beleive that it does, are we then saying womanhood is defined by reproduction? Is a FTM any less a male for not being able to reporduce sperm? Are we more than "male" and "female" or are we just the some toalt of our parts?
