What is it in general that most women don't get about most males when it comes to an initial approach?

I hear lots of women say that some guys seem "intimidated" by them. It's more "apprehension" than "intimidation". Do you get that? Lots of guys want to approach nice looking women but sometimes don't because they get the feeling that you're automatically misreading their intentions.

So, why do you think they're intimidated and/or apprehensive and what could you do to make things less so?

The intimidation line is just a way for a woman to feel good about herself if she is not approached. You hear it all the time - women console eachother with that excuse.

The reality is, most good looking women put out some kind of radar that tells men not to bother...unless they are good looking or have money. You'll note that good looking and rich men have no problem approaching good looking women - cause they've been given the unspoken signal that its okay.

First, woman has a difficult time to trust men. This makes them either arrogance or try to get the man in sense of agressive. Also, there are many motives that makes one tries to close to someone, with male, sex or physical relations usually comes first while with woman, emotional bond is expected first. So, venus and mars are speaking in different language. Then the misreading intention is based on the woman intention it self about the man, or may be, the man got a wrong woman who just doesnt know or figure out anything about someone special.
Be natural and as if nothing gonna happen is helpfull, but if the woman in the target ( would like to get marriage), tell straight away the target to eliminated some nice guys who just looking for fun.
No friendship between man and woman. Every approach means an attraction. The backgrounds are vary. so, why dont just you try to get a woman with a great communication skill? so no intimidation.

I don't think I ever "misread" a guy's intentions. I assumed his intentions were to sleep with me, and I wasn't ever disappointed. I found out early in the conversation that I was correct!
I never thought guys were intimidated by me, I never had that huge an ego.

In a word, Rejection. Nobody likes Rejection. Rejection for a job application, rejection for a promition, rejection for a college...your ego is on the line and it hurts to get rejected. Plus its awkward trying to think of an opening line without sounding desparate, stupid, repetitive, weird...the negative possibilities are endless. So some guys just come off as arrogant and unapproachable and it seems to work for them.

its a great question, with a hard answer...i'll tell yea what i do...if there is a guy out there, usually a bar or something, that i think is cute or hot and of all the others out there, they are who i woyuld like to meet...i just give a wink and a smile, in a moment when it would be undeniable that i did...and most times the guy makes some effort to get over to me and chat...

to me, i understand a guys plight in how 'intimidating' and its my way of at leaast letting a particualr guy know, its ok to say hi to me...

Some women hate pickup lines and 'cool' intro sentences.
Guys could go to Charm School, maybe.

MOST males? Most males just want sex, no strings attached. Some women are innocent enough to think they're looking for a wife.

statistics is in your favor my friend. keep on truckin hitting on them all. the odds are against u but as with vegas u will get a few hits once in a while! u will get smacked once in a while but hey at least it's free

I THINK GUYS NEED TO APPROACH A WOMAN AS A FRIEND, AND THAT WAY THAY WOULDNT BE INTIMIDATED AS MUCH
