This is actually a follow up to my last question. Women are getting mad that men (ME) may assume they are trashy because of how they dress.

Well I think everyone thats not 12 knows by now that people judge you first by your appearence. Thats just how it is... so why create an image of yourself that is not what you really are and then get angry when people get it wrong?

Ladies ladies ladies ladies......ladies...

i completely agree. women, i am one by the way, seem to want everything both ways. they want to dress provocatively then be offended by men who notice or look too hard. that's ridiculous. our appearance is our advertisement of ourselves, it's the first thing people see and that instantaneous judgment is formed based on those looks. i don't understand why a woman in a barely-there mini skirt and top cut down to her navel would think people wouldn't consider her easy. it's not even a conscious thing, it just happens.

How does a hooker dress? Many of the fashions that are currently touted by males and females alike are not particularly modest. Body jewellery and tats are being flaunted and the clothing mirrors that trend. Both males and females show their underwear ( I am not sure what that indicates), and pants are slung low.
So if men don't want to be associated with gang bangers why do they dress like that???? Why do some men dress like drag queens, or trannies, etc.
Fashion is the answer to all and one should respect everyone no matter what they are clothed like.

Mike, you do have a point. However, many people feel they only have their physical attributes working for them. This is really about how developed the individual is. You find this behavior/mentality with younger people or people who are limited/shallow. If that's not your thing, well kudos to you--you're more developed than others. But to judge these women/people is unnecessary. If they feel all they have to offer is their physical stuff, well that's their thing and move on.

Obviously, what's "trashy" is going to vary for people. In LA, for instance, satin, cuffed short shorts paired with high heels seems pretty "in" this season, and therefore pretty standard and normal. In a conservative bible belt town, maybe not so much. Personally, I'll treat anyone with respect and decorum, if that's how they treat me, regardless of how they are dressed. I really don't see what's so tough about that

You know where I stand on this issue, Mike.
People have got to be allowed to dress any way they please (in the US, anyway) and they have to be sturdy enough to take the fallout that their way of dressing creates.
When I was a kid, only Sailors and Skanks had tattoos, so in my mind, that's what they're reminiscent of.
Same with belly shirts, exposed butt cheeks, all but the nipples of breasts showing, etc
Respect everybody, yes.
But you will never override the mainstream standards of decency. (I hope).
Good luck

Because many people are juvenile and think that they're being cute if they dress like hookers. I see it in little middle school girls a lot. It's sad.

I see no reason for dressing like a hooker, maybe they want to get attention. But, there are other ways to get attention.
