Its equally wrong
No person has any more right than any other person to physically assault another person.
Men might do more damage to a woman than the other way around, but that doesn't negate self-responsibility

some females i've got seen are finished animals and punching them could be nowhere close to adequate to floor them, yet on the full, women are bodily weaker than adult men so it incredibly is not seen as a honest combat, similar to an person punching a toddler. additionally, society dictates that ladies are to be secure (and adult men's thinking is that if we shelter a girl from harm, we could get some puS$y) besides the fact that, women desire equivalent rights - equivalent each thing, so flow appropriate forward - punch their lighting fixtures furnishings out over a spilt beer :)

Well, let us examine the situation.
Someone gets hit. Say, accross the face, a punch. Someone gets their jawbone struck with a fist.
How does the victim feel both mentally and physically?
Now let's start applying sex.
Make the victim male. Now, make the victim female.
Do the victims feel differently physically or mentally?
No, interpretation of pain and supression and not dependant on sex.
Both situations are equally wrong.
Wow, not one of 'Giggly Giraffe''s points apply to me. Well maybe the last one, but that's neither here nor there.

I don't think it is right for any person regardless of gender to punch another... violence doesn't settle problems. However, in my opinion, it is more wrong for a strong person to hit a weak person then for a weak person to hit a strong person.
For example: If I saw an adult punching a child I would intervene on the child's behalf, but if I saw a child hitting an adult I would assume the adult could handle it themselves.
So... if the individual being punched looked scared, in danger or wasn't able to handle themselves I would intervene (most likely by calling the police). But I would be less likely to intervene if the person being punched looked calm, safe, and able to handle himself or herself.

Frankly, no I don't. I don't think it's right to hit anyone except for self-defense.
I think people tend to be utilitarians on this issue without knowing it and their assumption is that a guy hitting a girl will automatically do more damage and therefore is more wrong. I think that such an assumption short-changes both sides.

It's more wrong for a women to hit a guy and thinks she can get away with it, than either of them hitting the other. So it's wrong both ways.

Yes.
1. Men like to hit each other; women typically don't brawl.
2. Pick on someone your own size; at least when a man's brawling with a man, he's picking on someone his own size. He's a bully if brawling with a woman.
3. Men's athletics train them how to deal with aggression while girls are taught to cuddle and coo dolls & other girly stuff. Even the Tom-girls don't have as much training (from birth) that dudes do.
4. Men can't be pregnant so if brawling with another man, well, he's only endangering himself and that man ... girls can be pregnant, and it doesn't always show. So when a dude hits a girl, he could be hurting the girl and the baby.
Okay, I'm bored ... you do the rest ... but it's so wrong to be hitting girls.

It's all about size & strength to me. Since girls are generally smaller and have weaker arms then men, I feel like it's worse. But I'd feel the same way about Sylvester Stallone hitting Danny DiVito - it's just not fair. And it makes the big guy look bad - to chicken to get into a "real" fight.

I think it's wrong to punch anyone, unless they punched you first. Self-defense isn't a gendered issue.
