You get a lot of fanatical christians who take any opportunity to tell you that you're going to go to hell. Oh and fanatical atheists telling you you're stupid for believing anything. Yahoo Answers is the only way many people can say what they want without being interrupted or shot or something.

People answer because they feel the need to express themselves either in a clever way or show their disgust etc. And people get points for answering.
