hmmmm...you know its ok to be independant, but I prefer to have some1 help me with it,I see all the independant ladies out there with such great huge strong personalities that wont accept a joke or a sense of humor from any guy..and that she would like to show him how strong and independant she is.
Which is ok..
but sometimes a man would like to see a feminin side in a girl some softness..that kind of personality will always make a man kiss her gently and hold her.

Yes and yes. I certainly do wish to be taken care of sometimes. But only late at night when I'm feeling lonely. I have a great career, good friends and I'm single and happy being so at this point. But I know as I get older, the loneliness will grow and so will my need to cuddle in strong arms and be caressed and told it'll be alright Little One.

I am in that situation right now
I have always been independent and strong...very strong, and the man i am with now..wants to be there for me for everything. And it is hard to adjust..but then you think to yourself would you rather be alone and strong, or with someone who you love so much and can't imagine life without and give into him.

I'd be happy if the one I loved would accept my kisses and holding and telling him everything will be alright ... but, that annoyed him major.
I think he trapped himself in a saddistic world where he disallowed himself true happiness. Oh, well, maybe his new girl will be the one who gives him the peace I never could; hard to imagine, but I can always hope for the one I love.

sometimes, but i find that the latter doesn't really do much in the way of making things better, while the former can actually lead to taking action to solve a problem. but then, i'm notorious independant & strong (or willful & stubborn depending on who you talk to ! lol). I've gone through a LOT in my life--by myself. i don't need anyone to tell me that everything will be alright--usually i'm the one telling everyone else that. it always is, it's one thing i have complete & utter faith in.

Depends on the situation or my mood at the time. Mostly, I am an independent woman, but I have my days like everyone else, and then I want my partner to do what you mentioned.

Yes! I was married 20 years, then divorced. I was very independent. Now I've met a nice, burly man who is willing to help me with anything.
It's reciprocal though. Sometimes he needs me to help him lift heavy things and climb on the roof and my personal favorite, get rid of spiders!

not really...
there are times when i want to be strong, and other times when i want to be taken care of. i don't think it's healthy to be one extreme: totally independent and strong all the time, or always needing someone to take care of us. there is a time and place for both, and i refuse to feel torn about it. i like being complex...

I'll admit that I do have those rare moments, but as soon as I do, I'm reminded of my true desire for independence and throw those thoughts away.

No.
But then I'd rather hold a fragile little poet and kiss his overactive, fevered head and tell him everything will be alright.
