Social Science - 22 March 2007

ok so I'm not literally a wuss. But I just can't get angry, when someone trys to cause conflict or argue I'm clueless. I can't come up with a come back at all. This leaves the person thinking they can easily pick on me - this useually leads to me punching them in the face. How the hell can I make it clear to someone that I'm not a victim. How the hell do I come up with great comebacks?

Bill O Reilly wrote a book on what he believes is the cultural war that we face in America. Check out the site that I reference for this book. After you have read the site, give me your perspective on his viewpoint. Are liberals or "secular" individuals really harming the nation? Intellectual opinions needed for quantifying book character.

Since I don't do drugs no more, my signifigant other seems to not be able to grasp hold to the fact that I have changed. that's because he is still in his addiction. I'm in recovery which is good thing. It's just hard to let go sometimes

I'm in college, and my inability to focus is really starting to hurt me. Any ways to help focus and manage my time? Yes I probably do have ADD/ADHD, but I have never actually been tested or anything (but I basically fit the whole description, except maybe impulsitivity).

This was a college library, close to the finals. A wintry night and the building was open late for bespectacled bookworms. By coincidence there were two suicides in Halloween and this particular day was Friday the thirteenth. The studs were out of favor and the nerds were in business. I had this Junior Einstein leaning to one side under the weight of reference manuals and weighty texts being popped up by a bevy of clueless damsels that partied hard during the semester but now needed the Juniors expertise to complete their term papers. Guys like me were definitely out of favor since my academics were questionable at best and deplorable at worst. Being alone and vindictive I decided to lace the toilet tank with ruby red dye. Soon Junior went in to take care of his Junior and came out screaming .. speechless .. spectacles bouncing on sweaty brows. His buddy a logical sort went in and was on way out screaming when he tripped and fell on the wet floor. Will the shower be a good choice next?

I'm a teacher and last night had a dream that my 'mentor' was telling me that everyone in the school hated me... the teachers and the principal and that the assistant principal was the worse of all. She was telling everyone that I wasn't a good teacher and that I hated teaching!!!! Even the children hated coming to my class because of me!!!!
Meanwhile I looked at my desk and my engagement ring (I'm married already) was all mashed up, as if someone tried to take the diamond out and couldn't.
Does anyone know what this might mean?

Due to a combination of physical defects, and severe facial scars which I sustained in a childhood accident, I have found it almost impossible to attract the interest of a woman.

While women like to claim that they are attracted to "what's inside", years of watching women fall for physically perfect guys while rejecting me and guys like me has shown me that this is simply untrue.

Considering the better options available to women, I can't really blame them of overlooking someone like myself.

I was wondering if any of you could provide me with techniques for identifying women who might be willing to settle for a guy like myself, and then attracting her romantic interest.

I’ve tried to meet women on-line, at volunteer organizations, at church, and at bars and clubs, all to no avail.

This past Saturday I went with a female friend (who trusts me) to an event at a local mall. The event lasted till 4 in the morning but by around 2:30 she was ready to leave. So I started to leave with her, telling her "I'll walk you to your car." Of course she began her usual, "Oh you don't need to do that," then, "well I parked so far away, I don't want to inconvenience you." I told her that her parking far away was even more of a reason to escort her. That seemed to put it to rest for a moment but then she said, "I would really prefer that you not walk me to my car." After a quick "exchange," I let her win. I went back to the event and just worried myself over her safety. Then a few days later she failed to show up to class. I wrote back and she joked around saying that she made it safely to her car but she did question her judgment halfway to the car and the guy with the chainsaw behind her didn't help. Her flippant attitude pissed me off. I was worried sick.

I can not seem to write what I felt in the counselling skills seminar or what the activity (in a different lecture) made me feel!
