one of my probs is that i dont like talkin about myself cause i hate it when ppl do, i find it funny and pathetic even if what they say is true, for instance, i dont like telling ppl about a guy who had a crush on me and the nice things he said, and i hate telling that the guy\girl who i thought hates me is saying VERY nice things about me behind my back. BUT, i know these typa things kinda help u when u feel a bit down sometimes, but i just feel pathetic if i said so, i always hate me unless someone else tells me they love\like me. everytime i preceived as non-confident i just hate myself more n more and punish myself, i dont eat, i dont talk to other ppl and i sometimes thing about suicide, and needless to say my self-esteem goes to below zero.
please help me, i wanna love myself no matter what, i dont other ppls opinion to affect my opinion about myself, i dont wanna care about the ones who dont care about me, i dont wanna look "pathetic"

"What is 'Susurraphilia'?" you may ask...well, a couple of years ago I came to realise that I took increasing delight in hearing the sound of whispering in all its forms, be it my girlfriend whispering in my ear through to DVDs with actors doing soft-spoken voiceovers etc.

I had a search through the internet to see if this phenomenon was documented, but when I found it was not, I decided to coin the term 'Susurraphilia' (literally 'the attraction or affinity to whispering') to describe it.

I don't call it as an illness or disease as such, because it brings me nothing but happiness to experience it and has no downside to it. It is also not an obsessive compulsion, however, as it does not dictate my natural behaviour, but is rather just a wonderful condition to have. Susurraphilia does not have any particular sexual undercurrents to it, although it can do in, for example, situations where a sexual partner is whispering to turn you on.

Are there other susurraphiles out there? :)

For another, wouldn't that make them suicidal, in a way? If a man had a gun to my head, and I attempted to try to tackle him down or attack him, wouldn't I be considered suicidal?

Try to explain where you would prefer to live based on your decision. Do you prefer people or being as far away from people as possible?

Ok so I have a uni paper due in a few weeks for anthropology. The topic is we have to go out and observe a food or drinking ritual in society. It has to be a public event and for people over the age of 18.
50% of my mark is graded on the creativity of my subject, so please if anyone has some different ideas on where i should focus my paper on that would be great!

All she does is put me down. She says the meanst things. She is always grumpy! It's bringing my mood down aswell. I'm 17 years old

She has recently gone gluten free (because of coeliacs disease) and she says she is really tired and that is why she is tired and has a short temper.

The other day while she was at work I baked her a chocolate cake (not realising she had gone gluten free already) and all she did was yell at me for making a mess. I was only trying to make her feel better but I can't do anything right!

Help! What can I do to deal with this? I'm so close to packing my bags!

Women was taken out of man ;not out of his head to top him ,not out of his feet to be trampled underfoot, but out of his side to be equal to him ,under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved .

Sometime, I'll do e-mail and IM to reach the participant for a sincere answer to his/her question. But ! some rude participants just ignored and I'll get scolded for nothing, why ? If, they feel is not safe at this site, then just don't participate, agree ?

I've recently started a new high school (i'm 17). I've made some really good friends. We recently went on a geography camp and I got to know some of my friends a lot better.

One girl (I would say she would be one of my best friends now) told me how she was really jelous of my body because she said she thought I was the perfect size.

I really don't agree, I have heaps of body image issues. I am not over weight or underweight for my height. I consider myself to be healthy. I hardly ever eat junk food and I exercise almost everyday. But still I have issues.

I think these issues come from the negitive comments I have had from my family. My mum subtle comments that i'm over weight and my grandparents say i'm built quite 'solidly'.

How can I over come this and love my body? And how can I ignore or etc these comments from my family!
