I live in a small city. In a small house on a corner on a non busy street. I have 2 city lots with a alley on the oppoite side of the corner and the neighbor has a high 10 foot bush. Behind me is an empty lot. I like it just fine.

I am close to people, if I need them and not bothered by people if I don't want to be.

Better than country because I can enjoy walking in my walker to town or using my cane, which ever my hip is dicatating for the day.

I also get cable and I have discovered that after 57 years without - I do like it. I also like the running water. When I lived in Oroville, California I didn't have running water and pulled it from the local river and hauled to the house. I love how it flows out of the tap.

I like turning on my gas instead of trying to bank a fire in the right angle to make it catch. I didn't like cooking on a wood stove or huddling around it in the winter.

The country is beautiful, don't get me wrong. I love the wild animals and your chance to interact with them. That is a definte perk you can't get in the city - even in a small town.

I love my home away from everyone and yet close to everything. I couldn't live with someone in my back yard, so to speak. I don't want to become a part of my neighbor's arguments or their dogs pooping on my lawn.

I'm happy here.

We are, obviously, all different and have assorted preferences. I used to live in relatively high density areas. I chose to move to a town of 3500 in Northern CA for numerous reasons.

Among them that the area is far less polluted in every way, including, for those that would "understand" such a comment, by the distictly low vibes present, generated by humans, in a heavily populated area. The frequencies associated with fear, greed, ego, etc. are quite toxic.

It feels wonderful here. And, since there's "less to do" in "popular parlance" it requires a bit more creativity than running to the mall, drinking onesself into oblivion, or watching nascar reruns on tv, to stay "entertained". Developing that skill is very helpful.

All in all, spending more time in nature, away from pollution, and confusion and noise is a true blessing. While i've never met a tree i didn't enjoy being around, i can't say the same about humans :))

sparse. I'd prefer to live off in the woods where i couldn't shoot my nearest neighbor's house with a rife or even see the lights at their house on the darkest of nights... as far away from people as possible

i would rather live in a sparsely populated area. the only reason is that my wife and i are nudists. therefore, we'd both like to live off the beaten track so that we could be outdoors in the buff without having to worry about offending any close-by neighbors.

Personally, I prefer a mildly dense population because the infrastructure is in place. This way people have their own space.

I prefer to be as far away from people as possible. I hate nosey neighbors. I hate people cutting through my yard when I have worked hard in it. I want to be left alone and visited only by family and real friends.

I also like less traffic.

I want peace.

I desire living in the country so no real city for me. yet once I had to % i might say someplace with low crime and the final public is white. i'm not a racist yet i does not choose to stay in say Detroit or Atlanta the place blacks and different US minorities are the final public. it would make me demanding, uncomfortable, and unhappy. too a lot crime, gangs, criminal lords, drugs, and the sensation of not being secure. I desire united states of america existence for the sparkling air, advantageous people, blue collar ecosystem, and the sensation of real community.
