This question is for psychologists who have studied the religious phenomenon. When confronted with the obvious contradictions, mistakes, and immoral actions in the bible (such as murders commited by Moses and Joshua, false prophecies, false statements in Genesis, etc.), how can bibliolaters (people who claim the bible is innerant and who at the same time pick and choose what they want to believe) continue to deny that the bible is a synthetic document riddled with errors and untruths? Do they feel any inner conflict over this denial?

Yesterday i went to parkway parade, happen to see a empty parking slot. I quickily drove my car in but halfway thr' i saw a car was going to park that slot too and he came before me. I quickily drove out my car, to let him park. When i drove out, he came out from his car, his face was so black. I wind down the window and apologise to him. End up he scolded something bad. I feel that how come Singapore has turn out to become like this?

Just curious if anyone out there has had an out of body experience. Died and been revived? Did you see a white light? What do you remember?

I'm a heterosexual male. I'm just gonna be blunt. It's been a long time. Too long! This abstinence is really getting me down. I obviously don't have anyone in my life right now, no girlfriend, no "friend with benefits." I absolutely refuse to lower myself to paying for "services" or putting myself at risk of disease, so don't even think about suggesting that route. I'm definitely not a bar or party person so those won't work for me. I know there is always self-serve, but that gets old and just isn't the same. I know a bunch of you are probably laughing it up, but unfortunately for me, my problem is very real and my question is very real. I'd appreciate some genuine answers. How can I cope with all the pent up sexual tension and frustration?

For example, when I get older I want to fall in love, get married, and have a family. For some people it may to get a certain job, or live in a certain area. This question is mainly for people in high school and younger. Maybe even in college.

I have been off prozac for 2 weeks now and i was wondering whether how im feeling right now is normal. its not that i am depressed all over again, i am just always in my comfort zone. I dont seem to want to try new things or meet new people. for example, instead of meeting new people, i just hang out with my roomates all the time. meeting other people seems like a chore. There are some positive effects ive noticed like i have more energy compared to before, I have been able to self talk myself out of any negative thoughts (i had been reading a book on positive self-talk while i was on prozac so i could counter negative self talk when i got off the meds). i need to know what more can i expect and for how long. and how do i get out of my comfort zone and meet people. !

people say 'look on the bright side' of horrible situations but it isn't always easy and sometimes, depending on the situation, can be impossible. i need some practical hints/tips on how i can see and enjoy the positives in everyday life instead of focusing and expecting the negative.

For the past year or so (possibly longer), I haven't had a single bad dream, basically a nightmare. Why is this? Do people tend to remember the good dreams instead of the bad?

If it matters, I have an indian "dream catcher" in the house, and i'm about 50% American Indian. So could that be the reason why I haven't had a nightmare in a long time?
