Society in general, or as a group, does not perceive women, the perception of women is an individual perception. You can not judge any one woman or for that fact place any one woman in one category, women are so vast and come in such a variety and I am not talking race, creed or religion, I am talking the essence of a woman in general. So as for perception, perceive what you want, I know for a fact a woman wouldn't give a flying flaming tampon what the perception of her is, in general or as a whole. Speaking as a woman, that was not born yesterday. With age perception takes a flying leap into the vast unknown never to be thought of again.

Do you mean today's woman in comparison to the cruel times woman? People don't seem to be dropping their jaws as far when a bold female does her unprecedented thing. Except for the sex. Men still believe they have all the rights and women should sit at home and make doilies all day long otherwise, they are not marriage material. It's very hipocritical. What if women copied this arrogance and were turned off by a "seasoned" fella and demanded nothing less than a virgin man. Doesn't that sound too weird...a virgin male. LOL. Rare bird indeed because it's practically expected of them to be "sluts". Hey, that's what they have always called women who like to get cozy.

Is there a liberal mainstream media? And does it paint a hyper sexualized picture of the modern woman?

It is negative because feminism has made it too easy for them to rort the system at other people's expense.
If the divorce laws are skewed in women's favour that it is so easy and so tempting to take advantage of them - at someone else's expense, leading to many women doing it;
If sexual harassment laws are skewed in women's favour so that it is too easy and tempting to take advantage of them and sue a company for a lot of money without a hell of a lot of proof, leading to many women doing it;
..then women are going to get a reputation for causing expense to other people and companies, obviously.

Not very favorable, if you want the truth. Women are generally considered to be lying, scheming little manipulators, and men are considered to be the dunces that fall for it.
I've been around the block, I've listened to people talk, I've watched people. I also have relatives who are like that.
