If a person's ego puts others off, should he/she just give it up. Is it necessary that we have to reciprocate to people who think we're "over-inteligent" by cutting ourselves down? Should a person fall prey to others' nagging when they nag for reasons unknown? (Very generalised, doesn't involve me)

What I mean is how many people can change their own oil, do their own taxes, fix a simple leak in their house, etc. it slightly worries me that soon people will be become overly dependent on these professionals and well they have the ability to screw us all over...heck look at gas prices...what if places started upcharging like gas companies do for simple services?

According to a New York City Department of Health study, White teens are more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs than minority teens. 28% of White kids binge drink, as opposed to 18% of Latino teens and only 8% of Black youth. 43% of White teenagers have used drugs, but only 37% of Black kids and 34% of Latino young people.

Why is alcohol and drug abuse so much more common among White teenagers?

And, since Whites are more likely to abuse drugs, how come Blacks and Latinos are so much more likely to get arrested for drugs?

saying a word and pretend they didn't see you. That happens to me almost all the time and they're fine one day and just when you think everythings cool they completely blank you the next day......... Don't they like me :-(? I feel hurt....I'm a nice person and just want to get on with everyone..... I try not to care but just feel crushed........perhaps I'm just too sensitive from inside? how do I toughen up?

abot things which are really petty, she even called the rspca cos my rabbit got in her garden, and they do evil sly things to me like cut my telephone wires in the middle of the night, at my church they said she has something wrong in her past happened to her, cos of her constant complaining watches me go in and out, what do you think , it really gets me down at times

and plenty of fish. and every girl i leave a friendly message for, askin if they wanna chat, none of them ever reply to me. im beggining to think its personal to me. my mugshot photos on the sites, so their able to see what i look like. feels like im being ostracised by people. i have low self esteem. low moods. high anxiety. i have recently been diagnosed with
borderline personality disorder. ive had these problems since 15. i have difficulty, with intamacy, maintaing relashionships or friendships. relating to people. i get dependant. needy. posessive and clingy.
i dont want to be felt sorry for or treated like a charity case, but im just wondering what i can do?
im waiting to be assesed for therapy. but my future seems hopeless, like it wont go anywhere. the only people in my life that understand, is my mum. i dont have any friends or a girlfriend. im tired of this loneliness & isolation & unwilling solitude. its like noone wants to no me. ive never worked because of my problems.
