Send the boss a letter signed by everyone in the company or who USED to work for the company who agrees with you.

Alright, I am going to reveal a secret to you... get close to your computer screen and do not tell anyone else... Work is about work not emotions. The person in charge of you is in charge for a reason. Do they own the company? Are the good at what they do? It is called referent power, they have it and you should respect it. Stop being so emotional! If people are quitting, then they clearly do not like their jobs that much. Most people like this boss are not going to except critisism very readily. so I would not even try. I would spend my time on yahoo answers instead of being productive. What are you doing? Get back to work! Seriously, you have to regularly evaluate your current life situation... If you think the job and the money are not worth the abuse, then maybe you should find another job. That would speak louder to this person than just complaining or trying to tell them directly. If they are being totally inappropriate then maybe you should report them to the owner unless they are the owner. The main thing is to do something, don't just complain about how bad it is.

Is her control too hard on you? Some people work best in heavily controlled environments. Others prefer and show better productivity in loose type environments. The way I see it is either you adapt to the boss or work out a better working arrangement with her or start looking for a place where you can work better and enjoy it at the same time

If the boss owns his own company then there is really nothing you can do

If you don't like it you just need to find another job.
