I'm a teacher and last night had a dream that my 'mentor' was telling me that everyone in the school hated me... the teachers and the principal and that the assistant principal was the worse of all. She was telling everyone that I wasn't a good teacher and that I hated teaching!!!! Even the children hated coming to my class because of me!!!!
Meanwhile I looked at my desk and my engagement ring (I'm married already) was all mashed up, as if someone tried to take the diamond out and couldn't.
Does anyone know what this might mean?

Thanks for helping me out!

I think your dream is about your own anxiety and fears. Everyone is afraid that they will lose the things they love the most--a great job, the respect of the people they interact with, their spouse. You dream just brought those fears to life.
This dream just means you're human and that you worry! Don't obsess about it. None of those things are true-your husband still loves you, you still have your job and chances are, your coworkers think you're great.
Take care.

A good place to find out meanings of dreams is http://www.dreammoods.com
To me it sounds like you have a lot of fears and anxieties in your life right now. They probably came out in the forms of your career and marriage because those are two very strong things in your life. But may not actually be connected to them in reality (just in your dream)
Good luck!

It means nothing. Current psychological theories holds that dreams are simply the frontal lobe trying to make sense of the random firings of nerves from other parts of the brain that occur during sleep. They have no reference to your "subconscious," they don't tell you something true about yourself that you didn't already know...at best, they happen to reflect the types of things that you were thinking about recently.
