my son, who turned one a week ago, has been running a temp of 102 for about 4 hours. He doesnt seem to have anything else going on other than the fever and a very slight cough... hes coughs are very rare.
my question is... at what temp should I call the doctor? I am already worried... because he has never really been sick. I called the "ask a nurse"-- she was absolutly NO help... a RN and had no idea what she was talking about? He had his MMRs on monday, but Im pretty sure this is not related.

I have a 2 year old--he's great. Love 'im to death. We're going to start potty training in a month, so right now he's still in diapers.

A few weeks ago, he started to take his clothes off between the time when we read books to him and when he goes to sleep. We've now woken up about 5 times to him naked and the bed drenched.

We thought that it was the diaper--nope. Not too tight. We even tried 2-3 different kinds of diapers.

We thought it was too hot--nope, it's pretty dang chilly.

We really have no idea. The diapers aren't even full when he takes them off.

Any ideas? We have started to check on him every 30 minutes or so to catch him before it goes too far, but thus far it hasn't stopped him from taking off his clothes.

He's obviously exhausted and does this on days when we're busy and days when we're lazy. I'm clueless.

My daughter is going to be turning 3 next month, and we see tons of things at the store that we think she may like. We've even had her look at the newspaper ads and tell her to show us what she likes. So far, we've gotten her the new candlyland game, and some of the littlest pet shop toys. I just really need some more ideas. We also know that we're getting her Ratatuoille...I have no clue how to spell that. But I thought I'd ask and see if I could get some more ideas from others cause she likes so many different things. Thanks for the input.

My child turned 3 in November and has no desire to use the potty. I have tried pull ups and even cotton underware. She still pees and don't care if it is running down her legs! We even let her go with me to the store and pick out what underware she wanted! Any suggestions?

My son will be 3 in February.
A few nights ago at the dinner table, I told him, "eat your chicken, baby". He replied with the most serious response, "I'm not baby, mama, I'm Brett Favre". Since then, anytime we call him by his name, he corrects us and says he's Brett Favre.

My son's turning 3 yr old the next yr. Until now, we were wondering he cant help his self saying even just a single word or even just saying mom and dad. But, shocks! almost all the animals sounds was he could imitate the sounds like when we ask him, he could understand us anyway, when we tried to say something to him,but all he replies is,, a 3 letters coming from his mouth and this facial expression from him that let us understand him too. I'm afraid, maybe because the reason of this was his weight. He is overwieght. Maybe thats why his mental development is too slow. Pls, Im asking an advise to help my son grows normal before he reach 5yr old. What is the best thing i'll do?

My son is almost 3 and has been in his toddler bed since he was about 18 months cause he started to climb out of it then. For several nights now, he has not been staying in bed or in his room after bed time. He hasn't taken naps for over a year, he out grew them early. We have a strict bed time routine that has been close to the same since birth and he is busy playing, reading books and whatever else all day. I don't see how he can't be tired. I have tried waking him up early. His dad and I get up around 5am everyday. I don't like staying up this late trying to get him to bed. If anyone has any other suggestions, please, please, please, let me know. I am so tired of doing this every night. He is about to get a new bed next month cause his toddler bed use to be a crib and we are having a baby in March. I want him use to sleeping in the new bed before then. I hope that works. Any other ideas would be helpful. TIA

And how old are they?

I have 2 sons ages 8 and 12 and yes we still have a bedtime routine. What is included in their routine? Reading, bath etc.

For my 8 year old.

Routine starts at around 7:30

Bath from 7:30 and let him play until about 8, lotion him up, cream his face and pjs, cuddle to about 8:20, brush teeth to 8:25, and then he is in bed by 8:30

For my 12 year old

Starts at about 8:15, bath from 8:15 to usually 8:30, lotion him up cream his face, pjs then cuddle to about 8:50, brush teeth and in bed by 9:00.

I have a 3 month old boxer, and I've decided to use a prong collar because he is pulling so hard on the leash that he is hurting himself. I just want to know is if you think he is to young. I will say that he is getting better at walking on a regular collar and leash, it's just when we get in an area that he is used to he justs starts pulling. I think its more of him being scared than anything. Suggestions please.

My son is two years old. Ever since he was 4 months old he has had a snotty nose. When he develops a fever and I take him to the doctor they always ask how long he has had a snotty nose and I say his whole life and they look at me like I am crazy. He is currently taking Zyrtec daily and we use a humidifier every night in his bedroom. He has horrible breath (mostly from mouth breathing) and suffers from nosebleeds. Not to give too much information but his snot is thick and usually yellow or green and his boogers are like rubber cement. It is honestly embarrasing that his nose is so disgusting. Does anyone else have this problem and know what I can possibly do to clear this up? He finished an antibiotic for strep over the Thanksgiving break and it helped keep his nose clean for about three days and we were right back to the snot fountain again.

My daughter will be two in a few weeks. When do parent's normally take the front of the crib off to turn it into a toddler bed? I have a side rail I can put on to keep her from falling off. Is it too early?

My son is 16 months old and he used to eat anything and everything I gave him...green beans, corn, mashed potatoes...whatever. Lately I have been noticing he is not eating his veggies. He will eat everything else the meat (except ground beef), breads, and fruits just fine but leaves the veggies. How can I get him to start eating his veggies again??? He just shakes his head every time I try to get him to eat it.

Thanks for your help

I babysit a toddler (almost 2) at no charge cause her mom is going to school and her husbands in haiti still so she doesn't have alot of money, and I love her so much I'm like a mom to her to! But her mom doesn't make her mind and lets her do whatever she wants and the toddler runs her house! So when she comes to my house she doesn't listen and when I tell her no and put her in timeout she just gives me a smirk and does it again, and now she's been taking her diaper off and I have been telling her NO so many times but she doesn't listen and she just escaped from her crib somehow and smeared poop all over my floor and I told her no and set her in timeout but it didn't help any! I'm thinking about just telling her mom that I am going to stop babysitting her until she can make her mind even though i'll miss her so much!! but thats not the first time she smeared poop everywhere and I'm not going to ruin my stuff cause she lets her daughter do whatever she want! So what would you do?

He has just turned 2 and puts his nappies in the bucket, empties his plate in the bucket and puts the plate in the dishwasher (with my help), he helps me mop and hoover, puts his clothes in the washing machine, turns it on (not always useful) and wipes up with a cloth if he spills his juice!

Should I just get rid of my partner? LOL!
