My son will be 3 in February.
A few nights ago at the dinner table, I told him, "eat your chicken, baby". He replied with the most serious response, "I'm not baby, mama, I'm Brett Favre". Since then, anytime we call him by his name, he corrects us and says he's Brett Favre.

My 3.5 year old has been a tiger for a few months now. We even had to program her "dora knows my name" phone to say HOLA TIGER lol.

My 3 year old just started telling me that her name is miley Cyrus about a week ago so we call her Miley for the time being but she still also answers to Skylar which is her real name no worries it's normal. This just means he has a great imagination.

lol.. that is cute! My daughter (will be 3 years old in four months) just recently started informing us that she is not a baby. So, we ask her "are you a big girl then?" and she says "no, I'm Jules". Her name is Julia, but we call her Jules, so she always refers to herself as Jules. Even when looking at pictures, we'll ask her who it is and instead of saying "me" she says "Jules". I think it's too cute! There are times when she pretends she's a dog or a cat, but never another person (so far anyway).

When I was three, I used to insist to my parents that my name was Scotty. (I also insisted at the time that I was five.) One day I wandered off in the grocery store. When a store employee requested that the mother of "Scotty" come pick him up at the info desk or wherever, she of course knew it was me.

My daughter, on the other hand, went through a phase where, when asked what her name was, she replied "Apple Juice." Go figure.

Oh yes, we have a few alter egos in our house. My three - year old is often a monster, a dinosaur, a dog, a medieval knight, Curt Schilling, Daddy, a pirate, a ghost, or a superhero he invented named Captain Monkey Drum. The imagination they have at this age is really fun, isn't it? =)

LMAO! That reminds me of my nephew SO much. He's starting to pick up that his mom and dad's real names aren't "mom and dad" So he's calling his parents Otis and Ivy now. And When I call him by his name (Seth) he tells me that he's a flobbit (a character from a veggie tales movie) and that it's a secret and I can't tell anybody. Kids are so adorable.

When I was like 5 years old, I wouldn't go by any other name than "Kimberly", because I was the Pink Power Ranger, and nobody was going to tell me otherwise. It's normal. :)
