my daughter is 4 1/2 and has only been having these tantrums for a couple months now. She has a complete melt down if she does not get what she wants. I have never given in to her and when we are at home and she has one, she goes to her room herself to calm down. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this? She is quite stubborn and it is almost like she just keeps doing it thinking that eventually we will give in to her. If anyone has any idea's, that would be great

I was wondering if anyone knew of any theme parks in the continental US, (we live in MO if that helps) that are good for 2 year olds? Are there any theme parks that are primarily for toddlers? But not disney world, we don't want to break the bank on somewhere he won't remember. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My neighbor told me the other day that she doesn't give her kids christmas presents on Christmas, She does it days even a week early. I have never heard of parents doing that. Of course for other types of holidays But Christmas? I think if you are trying to teach your child about tradition, Wouldn't doing it early defeat the purpose? I don't know it just seems weird to me.

theres this girl i know, shes so spoiled ! i mean she has 19 pairs of uggs! [seriously] She will NEVER repeat an oufit, has an endless shopping budget & she has like a million accesories! It gets worse, she has a Juicy Couture Binder, Backpack, & locker erase board & magnets! Even Juicy Pencils, erasers & booksox!! Her mom is a hairstylist so she always looks great & her makeup is flawless. She is an only child so this might have something to do with this, shes only been at our school for 2 years, & i used to be popular & so did my friends, were still popular-but she always tops us! The only thing i have in common with her;we both have tips [nails]! How do i "top" her without being a b*tch?? Her name is even "Princess-y"-its Priscilla.

They don't seem to like regular baby food any more and won't eat it. They like to spit it out or whine when I try to give it to them. They love Gerber puffs, and Cheerios, graham crackers, etc. I don't know how to get them to eat healthy foods, they don't mind fruits, cheese or yogurt, but I don't know what type of veggies to try that they'll eat.

Okay, so I'm not a parent. I'm a big sister and well, it's kinda come to my attention that when I'm around my nine year old sister she starts to talk to herself. Sometimes while we watch TV other times while we're playing a game or eating dinner. Usually under her breath but she repeats herself a lot! When I ask her whats wrong she'll just say it's nothing.
She's not challenged in any way. She goes to school like any other kid but I've also noticed that this talking tends to happen on an off/on baises.
Any insite or advice as to what could be troubling my sis?
Thanks.

My one year old and my three year old are both sick. I took them to the doctor and they tell me its just a cold. They both are coughing, congested, and have runny noses. The one year old has had no sign of fever although my three year old has had a low grade fever a few times! They both are having trouble sleeping and you can really tell that they don't feel good at all!
I am giving both of them mortion and using a vaporizer at night although thats all because of the resently found issues with over the counter cold meds for kids... the doctor will not give them anything! Is there anything else I can give them or do that would help them get over this? Thanks for the help!

ok I dont know were to start. I have a 2 year old lil girl and she won't sleep threw the night. I have cut her naps to an hour a day and have her go down early afternoon. She falls asleep fine in her crib but will NOT stay asleep the whole night I have no idea what to do I have tried the "let her cry it out" and that just makes her throw up cuz she is screaming so hard. I have tried leaveing a cup of water in her crib that didnt work I have no Idea whatelse to do. It is getting so bad that my husband and I have had to take days off of work just cuz we are that tired. She is up atleast 4 times a night on a good night on a bad night it is every hour. She slept better when she was a new born PLEASE HELP. I have talked to the doctor but they say its cuz of her cup but she dosent always want her cup so I dont think it is that. And if I give her NO nap...BAD NEWS!!
She is fresh and wont fall asleep without laying with her she gets over tired.
Thanks for your help!!

If she chooses not to feed him he will not eat a thing all day. And, if he hasn't eaten by mid-afternoon his mood changes and he gets aggressive because he's hungry. He pulls similar tricks at home. Any ideas???
