Good night moon is a good one.
Sandra Boynton has wonderful books for small children like your personal penguin, belly button book, snuggle puppy. The 2 year old I baby sit LOVES them as does her 5 year old brother. They even have one that comes with a cd of silly songs. They are cute books and the kids love them.
We're Going on a Bear Hunt is another favorite of the 2 year old
Once Upon a Potty
Dr. Seuss comes in small child books
Curious George is good too I think I have seen some board books.
The Napping House is another favorie-oops I see you already have it.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The following books are good too but they might be a little better for slightly older children. But I see you are getting cloudy with a chance of meatballs.
Tackey the Penugin
Henry and Mudge
Harold and the Purple Crayon
Where the Wild Things Are
Many of the books come in both paperback and as a board book. The authors of many of the books have other great books but these are what I can think of right now.

I'd also recommend some great Australian authors - Pamela Allen, Mem Fox and Lynley Dodd have some excellent books for 2-6 year olds, with fun rhyming verses (which is so important for pre-readers to learn through predictability) and lovely themes.
Pamela Allen: Who Sank The Boat?
Mr. McGee and the Biting Flea
and so many more!
Mem Fox: Hattie and the Fox
Where Is The Green Sheep?
and more!
Lynley Dodd: Hairy McLairy from Donaldson's Dairy (a series of books about dogs and cats)
Also you can't go past good old Dr. Seuss. My 2 year old son absolutely loves anything will lift-the-flaps or pull-tabs, and right now is mad on Thomas the Tank Engine (but we only have one book!).
There are so many good books out there, just look for anything that has simple, predictable text and beautiful illustrations. Rhyming verses are excellent, but anything with appropriate language for his level.
Happy reading!

All Dr. Seuss books. They worked for my daughter when she was two. Also you can get the leap pad games and books that helps a lot also. You know it wouldn't hurt to get some Baby Einstein books:)

My almost 3 y.o. son loves "No! David!" as well as everything by Dr. Seuss.
He really likes books with flaps that you can lift up or panels that slide too.
Click Clack Moo is fun to read too.
