Pregnancy - November 2007

I am 23. I graduated from college in May and have a really good job working as an investment manager. In June i met an older lady, she told me she was 52. I never was an "older lady" man but she was really nice and very attractive so i pursued a relationship. When we had sex she told me she was too old to get pregnant and she was on the pill anyway so there was no need to wear a condom. Yesterday she informed me of a bunch of things: first, she's preg. 2nd, she's not 52, she's 42. 3rd she got pregnant on purpose by me because she thinks i'm really attractive and i have a good future career ahead of me financially. Also, she was actually taking fertility drugs to facilitate getting preg.

Is there anything i can do legally. She totally lied to me in so many ways, now needless to say we're broken up but she says that i still have to financially support her. Is this true even though she lied about everything to me!!

Once I was getting ready to leave she asked me when I was going to see my Obstetrician (which I'm going Monday) and she said he was going to talk to me about testing my baby for Down Syndrome at my next Ultrasound. My friend told me it was normal procedure but the way she worded it made me feel very uneasy, and I can't wait until Monday for clarity. So do you think she saw something abnormal this early (can it be detected this soon) or am I just a bit paranoid...PLEASE HELP Experienced only.

Ok i went to the doctors on Thursday and had an ultrasound, the doctor said hes pretty sure its a boy! But he then said he thinks! has anyone had this happen? I mean i go for another one on the 20th so im not to worried about it but i am pretty sure i saw "male parts" i am 17 almost 18 weeks pregnant. Jus wanted to hear if anyone had the doc tell them one thing and it turned out to be another!

Is it true that if you're a fraternal twin, you're more likely to concieve fraternal twins or multiples? Here's another question. How far along am I? My last period was finished two weeks ago. I feel pregnant. It's two weeks later. Am I three or four weeks pregnant? They say that when you concieve you're already considered to be two weeks pregnant.

Sister has been feeling bad since Halloween (10/31) night around 6:30pm.

She's stating that she has cramps in her stomach/tummy mostly in the upper areas.

She also says that she feels bloated & gaseous & if you put your ear to that area you can hear tiny gurgling sounds.

She has cramps from the gas when she tries to poo. When she goes to the bathroom, she pees fine (yesterday having very minor warming sesation when peeing), but when she tries to poo she lets out yellow liquid instead (most of the time) & loose "watery" stool other times.

She feels worn out & exhausted, but when she lays down, she states that whichever side she lays on starts to hurt after a while.

Halloween & yesterday, she had pains on her lower-mid right backside & today they are on her lower-mid left backside.

She is burping a lot & when she coughs, it makes her feel nauseous.

She had cereal, but she vomited the milk. She really doesn't want to eat (loss of appetite?)

Any ideas what's up?

I am asking this question for a friend of mine. I already have insurance.

My friend took a pregnancy test and was surprised when it came out pos. Anyway, she doesn't have health insurance so she hasn't made a doctors appointment yet. Were she lives there is a family planning and I told her to call them and go to them. I do know they have a health insurance you can get through them and what not. But I want to find a few different insurances she can look into and find the one that best fits her and her boyfriend's needs. I have heard of some people on here talking about an insurance that can't turn you down if you are pregnant. So I was hoping you all could help me and give me the names of insurances and hopefully a website that she could check out. Thank you for your time.

Im 4 days late in my period. I had sex about 2 weeks ago using the pull out method. Ive been using this method for the past 7 months with my boyfriend. About 3 1/2 years ago i went overseas and hadnt got my period for 6 months. I went to the doctors there and they diagnosed me with polysistic ovarian cysts. He put me on the pill for 3 months and my periods become relatively regular. He said if i wanted to get pregnant later on in the future i would probably need assistance by a gynecologist . I assumed this meant that it wasnt easy for me to get pregnant. Anywho at the start of this year i made an appointment again to get that checked and got an internal ultra sound done. Results came in and doctor gave me the all clear. Well my point is i think i may be pregnant. (unplanned). Ive been getting period like cramps for the past 4 days. My boobs and nipples are very sore (althought not so much today, and usually they become like that before i get my period but not as much as they have been

I am 28 weeks pregnant and have had itching down in my private area for the past 2 days. I also noticed today that I am a little swollen there as well. I have not had any unusual discharge and it does not have a smell. Could it be a yeast infection or is this normal during pregnancy. I will call my Dr. in the morning either way just to be sure but I would like your opinions before then. Thank you for your help.

Can Braxton Hicks contractions take your breath away?

I've been having what I thought was braxton hicks for a couple of weeks now but this one was different. It lasted a little over a minute, hurt like a menstrual cramp type pain, and took my breath away at first for a few seconds (the others I've been having were nothing like that).

I'm only 23 1/2 weeks pregnant (2nd pregnancy) but was put on bed rest at around 28 weeks during my 1st pregnancy for the risk of preterm labor.

OK so my plain is an all natural childbirth. No epi, no drip, no gas and air, nothing. 100% me and my son.

The problem is that I was unable to find ANY classes in my area ANYWHERE that were not filled up for months in advance.

Ive been reading every book I can put my hands on, Lamaze, yoga, meditation, the Bradley method, Anything!

I'm 38 weeks now and just want some general advice from moms out there who have given all natural childbirth.

What worked best for you? What helped you get through the pain? Did breathing? Walking? Stretching? The ball?

When I had my daughter I went thru 12 hrs of labor before I found out that it would be impossible for me to ever have kids vaginally. I was upset that the doctors didn't tell me this in advance, but of course I had to go thru with the csection. My doctor suggested I not have kids close together and make sure I'm ready before having another child because I will always have to have the surgery. My csection was not a good experience for me. I did not recover as quick as some do. The first couple of days I even had to get someone to wipe me after using the toilet because I couldn't turn like I needed to. It even hurt whenever I laughed or coughed. I might be pregnant now and I'm really considering not having it. It's too soon. I never thought I would ever even consider this, but that was before I found out that my body was different. I need opinions on this and also would like to know if any has had an abortion under these circumstances or does anyone have my same condition?
