my Doctor said I think to. I think they just say that so that if they are possibly wrong which they hardly ever are they are covered if you know what I mean. I was worried to but then I went back for my next ultrasound and they said they were 98% sure. And what do you know it was a Boy just like they said.

My sister's doc swore up and down that her first was going to be a girl, well it was a boy. Also, her third "could have been" a girl, but it too was a boy. Basically, most baby boys parts are hard to see with the baby having a full bladder or an erection (yes, this happens with babies early on in pregnancy and it is totally normal). I have two girls and one boy. You could definately see the boy, but my doc did not confirm that I was having a girl or boy for sure on my girls because of lack of clear pictures of the genitals. Either way, good luck!

Well, my son is now 15 years old and I am sure the quality of ultrasound is probably better than it was almost 16 years ago. However, we went to the hospital anticipating an 8lbs baby girl and came home with a 7lbs baby boy!

Well he's got a 50/50 chance of being right! I always say, take it as it is; an 'I think' is not an 'I know' and keep receipts for everything boyish you buy so you can return it if the need arises. I only know of one person, pesonally, that got it stuffed up. My old doctor who delivered my daughter actually! They were told 'girl' twice on scan and at 38wks a scan revealed it was a boy right before she had her c-section. And you'd think being a doctor himself he would be able to pick it up. Goes to show, they don't always know.
Everyone that I know has been right except that one doctors baby.
Best of luck!

My cousin has 3 children. Two girls, and while his wife was pregnant with the third each ultrasound the doctor told them it was a boy. We got all sorts of boy stuff, when when the big day came, low and behold, it was a girl. :)
Sometimes you really can't be sure!

I think it's going to be a boy because the doctor thinks it's a boy so there is a fifty percent chance it's going to be a boy

Why don't you better decide the gender of your offspring before getting pregnant? Go to: hijosalacarta.tripod.com website English section. It will be good for the next.

my ultrasound tech told me im "probably having a girl" that made me kinda mad...its like if you dont know then dont tell me PROBABLY...either you know or you dont. i guess the cord was between the babies legs. but at the end she said yeah its a girl. but in my chart she put probably a girl!
so i dunno. not all ultrasounds techs are right about the sex. its not guaranteed or anyting.
i guess ill find out in a coupld weeks!
