An ectopic pregnancy is when the fertilized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus, such as in the Fallopian tube, on an ovary, or even outside the reproductive system and within the abdominal cavity.(very rare). This type of pregnancy is not sustainable, and must be terminated if they do not abort without intervention. Progression of an ectopic pregnancy is extremely dangerous to the mother.

ectopic pregnancy doesnt have to be in the tube...it is where an egg implants anywhere it isnt sopposed to. such as an ovarian pregnancy, tubal pregnancy, they can implant right where the tube meet the uterus, or a cervical pregnancy. All of these are very bad and need to be terminated immediatly they can make the mom bleed to death in the worst cases.

It usually when the egg implants in one of the fallopian tubes and as it grows the fallopian tube will burst causing a lot of pain for the mother, it can be life threatening if not treated straight away. The fallopian tube is usually removed as well because of the damage.

an ectopic pregnancy is where the egg implants in the fallopian tube, instead of ion the uterus, and begins to grow there. they can be deadly, and from what i understand, the only way to correct this is to terminate the pregnancy - but i'm not sure about that.

What Is Ectopic Pregnancy?
An ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs outside a woman's uterus (womb). Ectopic means "out of place."

Normally, after fertilization (i.e. after the egg and sperm have become united), an embryo (the combined egg and sperm) implants itself inside a woman's uterus and begins to grow and develop. Occasionally, however, the embryo may accidentally attach elsewhere along its path to the uterus and begin to grow in this abnormal site, where it does not have the normal environment to develop

It's when the egg is fertilized in the fallopian tube. Then the fertilized egg implants in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus.

The developing baby will burst the tube and die, it possibly will kill the mother as well.

An ectopic pregnancy refers to a pregnancy that occurs ANYWHERE outside of the uterus. This can be in the fallopian tubes, actually ON an ovary or outside of all of that in rare circumstances.

It's ectopic. It's when the embryo implants in the fallopian tube. It's very dangerous and can kill the mother if it explodes and isn't treated.
