Im 4 days late in my period. I had sex about 2 weeks ago using the pull out method. Ive been using this method for the past 7 months with my boyfriend. About 3 1/2 years ago i went overseas and hadnt got my period for 6 months. I went to the doctors there and they diagnosed me with polysistic ovarian cysts. He put me on the pill for 3 months and my periods become relatively regular. He said if i wanted to get pregnant later on in the future i would probably need assistance by a gynecologist . I assumed this meant that it wasnt easy for me to get pregnant. Anywho at the start of this year i made an appointment again to get that checked and got an internal ultra sound done. Results came in and doctor gave me the all clear. Well my point is i think i may be pregnant. (unplanned). Ive been getting period like cramps for the past 4 days. My boobs and nipples are very sore (althought not so much today, and usually they become like that before i get my period but not as much as they have been

In addition, ive been getting up at night to go to the toilet (never really have been known to get up at night for that). I am wondering if everyone can relate to this situation in anyway and or give me an idea about how frequent they urinate when they are pregnant. Im 23, i would keep the baby if i was, i love my boyfriend, i have his support. We were even planning to get married in 1-2 years. My main worry is that im yet to finish uni (next year is my final year) we are both not financially stable yet, as he just finished his course this year. My parents will probably be dissapointed as they are catholics and believe in "the oder form" u know marriage and then babies. Please help. I will be going into the doctors on tuesday if i still havnt gotten my period as i do not want to rely on home preg tests. I rather not hear things like "ur an idiot" either. Thank you, your opinion will be greatly appreciated :)

You have some signs of pregnancy but cramps are not one of them. By using the pull out method you can still become pregnant very easily, you have been lucky for the past 7 months. 4 days late is not a lot but I would do a home test asap just for your own sanity. If you are pregnant there are ways to finish uni and have a baby too, although it will be hard work! Don't worry too much it will work out, especially if you have such a supportive partner.

I'd take a urine pregnancy test. After your period is late, they are 99% effective. Try to hold your urine for 4 hours or use first mornings urine for the most accurate results.

If it's negative, I suggest getting in contact with a Dr for a blood test to confirm that you are not pregnat, and talk to them about your PCOS. It could be that you have not ovulated yet & having a long cycle, or some other type of hormone imbalance.
Good Luck!

you may just be having a irregular period, however your symptom's are common in pregnancy. Most home pregnancy tests are very accurate, and will help with the anxiety of waiting for the doctor visit! Your doctor will give you the same kind of pee on a stick test, and from my experience with them the home kit and the doctor's always said the same thing.

Normally when you are pregnant you wont get any cramping. And ou should wait till the end of the month. If you dont come on by the end of the month then you might be. Go and get a pregnancy test. Then go to doctor.

There['s a good chance that you are. Take a test with your first pee of the morning (it's more reliable) and eventually you can get a blood test. You may be having implantation cramps, boobs sore is a common sign. And are you really tired? Hope it works out for you.

I know several women who also have polysistic ovarian cysts and all have had kids without additional help. One had a really rough pregnancy, though. - I just thought I'd share that a lot of the other answers are pretty good.

Take a test, it's the only way to know for sure.
