Pregnancy - November 2007

My boyfriend is the father just 4 the record. I first found out I was 5 weeks pregnant a few days ago. At first I cried; I was surprised, it was unplanned, and though lately I have been envying my pregnant and excited friends (a lot of people I know are pregnant right now, seems like it's contagious lol), but I just did not expect it. I decided I should get an abortion one of the reasons is fear. So when I broke the news to my boyfriend 2 days ago and added my decision to terminate, he agreed with me. He said he'd support me in whatever decision I make but that if I decide to continue the pregnancy he needs to know soon so we can begin to plan financially. I felt set on getting an abortion; it seemed like the easiest and simplest way out though I am aware there are many emotional (and physical) consequences to such a porcedure. However these last 2 days I have fallen in love with the idea of being a mother. I keep thinking about whether it will be a boy or girl. I want to keep my baby

me and my girlfriend had sex about 2-3 weeks ago and since yesterday, she said she has a bad stomache ache had a temperature, nausia, cant eat, and feels like she has been gaining a mass amount of weight. we used a condom but we think it might of busted. we both checked it and there was no holes or anything. how can we be sure if its a flu or shes pregnant?

I know this might sound like a weird question buI just got done watching the movie "Knocked up" and theres a scene where the doc. is giving her an exam and out of nowhere the Doc say "oh way..thats your @**hole...wrong hole" how can that be possible...does she not know the difference or is it just fake hollywood movie stuff...????

Eversince I've started to feel the baby kicking (about two weeks), he only kicks on the right side of my belly... I've never felt any movement on the left... sometimes in the middle but never left.... is that normal?

My understanding is that hcg doesn't start being produced until implantation. So if you are already positive on a pregnancy test, should you have implantation bleeding a few days later?

I am 35 weeks pregnant. And earlier today I was having some pretty painful contractions that were 10 minutes apart. They felt N0THING like the braxton hicks. I also think I lost my mucus plug. The contractions have been ongoing ALL DAY. (like 10 minutes apart) I went to the hospital triage and they sent me home! I am now spotting. Could this be true labor or is it approaching really soon? When I went to the doctor yesturday I was already 1 cm dialted! How soon until I go into labor?

How soon can a stethoscope detect the babies heartbeat? Can it detect the heartbeats as early as four weeks? Also, one more miscarriage question. They day before my triplet miscarriage all of the triplets heartbeats was out of rhythm. They would beat twice. I wouldn't hear anything until five seconds. Then I would slow weird sounding heartbeats. What was the cause of the miscarriage? It was not a healthy heartbeat.

I have bulged disks, which may make it impossible for me to have the epi. this time around. I'm not for any other drugs because they effect the baby, but I don't think I'm strong enough to do it naturally. Has anyone used any of the other drugs for pain management during labor? What would you suggest, and what would you advise against??

I'm about 7 months along and lately i've been really irratible. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with being pregnant or not, but i constantly feel as if i could go off on any one for simple little things. Is there anything that i can do to help ease my irritability?

I am going to be induced this week, Wednesday, but I am in so much pain now! I have cramps and I can't sleep and I am so uncomfortable. I am dilated and effaced, but I have to wait till Wednesday to be induced. If I go to the hospital, how can I convince them that I need to be induced NOW!!!???

Hello, I'm 21 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I have felt him move since 12 weeks, because I am so small. Today, for some reason it feels like he just spasmimg repeatedly for about a minute, and then he calmed down and a kicked a couple of times, but then he spasmed again, really fast like he was shaking or spasming really hard, and fast. Is this something I should be worried about? What is going on in there? Why is that happenning?

is it awkward or odd that my girlfriend of 1 year decided to not give handjobs without me having a condom on? She believes she can get pregnant by touching sperm (because she thinks that it will, one way or another, make contact with her vulva). I tell her hand washing is fine but it doesn't reassure her. Does she have any weight to her arguement. I mean I totally support her with this decision, but I just think its alittle overreacting. Is she overdoing it with the whole potential pregnancy thing? I mean can sperm on hands really get someone pregnant if they wash and don't touch "down there". Thanks.

If i tested positive and now neg i think i may have miscarried, But i read that if u attempt to test again after a miscarriage it will come out postive because there is stil HCG in your system? SO if thats's the case y isn't that happening to me? DId i really have a miscarriage?

oct 29 =POsitve (equate Test from walmart)
Oct 30- Period /w/cramps
Nov 2- I tested and got a neg (dollar tree store)

I am 5.5 weeks pregnant.

For the last two days, I had what seemed like a period- bright red blood and cramping. My periods usually have clots, but I have not experienced that this time.

The bleeding just stopped after about 2 days.

I will go to the doctor this week, but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and had a healthy pregnancy?
