I am 35 weeks pregnant. And earlier today I was having some pretty painful contractions that were 10 minutes apart. They felt N0THING like the braxton hicks. I also think I lost my mucus plug. The contractions have been ongoing ALL DAY. (like 10 minutes apart) I went to the hospital triage and they sent me home! I am now spotting. Could this be true labor or is it approaching really soon? When I went to the doctor yesturday I was already 1 cm dialted! How soon until I go into labor?

Sounds like labor to me. Futhermore, 35 weeks is consider pre-term. I would go back to the hospital. Good Luck.

I would wait till the contractions get a bit closer together (like 6-7 mins) before going back to the hospital as they will just send you home again. Just wait a couple of hours and see what happens. There is no reason to panic just yet so relax!!
Go for a gentle walk, have lunch, have a nap if possible as you will need your strength.

As i said wait until something really changes as that is another indication to go back to hospital. They wouldn't have sent you home if you were in real labour or ready to be admitted. You are going to be a lot more comfortable at home too.

Relax, breathe deeply, get some rest and go back when something happens or if the pain doesn't change in the next 6 hours or so.

Best of luck

It sounds to me like labor. Have you been timing the contractions? What did they tell you to do at the hospital?
According to my doctor, you're supposed to time the contractions. They should be fairly evenly spaced apart, but slowly getting closer together, and slowly lasting longer and longer. Once they get to be 5 minutes apart, you call the hospital. My own labor was nothing like what they told me, though. I was having irregular contractions, that lasted anywhere from ten seconds to over a minute each. I was in labor for over 48 hours.
Were you spotting when you went to the hospital? If you're spotting, then you should be checked by a doctor. Try calling your doctor, even if you have to have the answering service page them.

You maybe in labor. With my first kid the hospital sent me home 2 times before they kept me Their reason was that I had not dilated far enough. Here inlays the problem with all my sons my dilation was low no more than 2cms, but my contractions were coming 4mins apart on my first child, 5 mins on my second child and 3 mins on my last. If you have someone going with you may have to tell them to get the your doctor to admit you in. On my first child my husband and mother actually made the staff "see" that they were going to kept me. I had a co-worker who daughter was was actually in pre labor for about 3 weeks. The child kick her mucus plug out as well.
As for how long you have that depends on your child how soon you will give birth. Hopefully quick! :o) Good luck!

Probably tendons, quite often braxon hicks, quite often the pressure of a developing uterus. Pinched nerves, pulling muscle tissues and ligaments, fake hard work.. being pregnant, above all at this factor, it relatively disagreeable. If theyre contractions they must leave while you lay down and drink a tumbler of water for a even as. And you shouldnt have greater than 6 in an hour. Those are indicators or preterm hard work. However, seeing that theyre low and consider like interval pains, iam taking pictures extra in the direction of braxon hicks.

Since you started spotting after you got home you really need to go back to the hospital. It sounds to me like you are in labor, but it may not be true labor, it may just be very early labor, and it could mean that active labor is well on it's way.

It's better to be safe than sorry.
