You should go to a Planned Parenthood Clinic. All doctors must treat you confidentialy no matter where you go. You do not need your parents to go with you. Most cities have Planned Parenthood, if yours doesn't then any clinic will do. You can even go to your own doctor... they can't tell your parents... it's the law that it be kept confidential. Planned parenthood does pregnancy testing and does a lot of teaching on STD's and safe sex in general. It seems like you have a lot to learn about sex and should probably stop having sex until you get some more information. Birth control will not make you fat... eating fatty foods and not excercising will make you fat. Getting fat on birth control is now a myth. 20 years ago when birth control was new, yes it did, but now the side effects are much less.

Yes, you can get a pregnancy test at any doctor, your university health center, clinic.
Let's put it this way. No birth control will make you anywhere near as fat as a big pregnant belly, right?
But condoms won't make you gain any weight at all. Neither will a diaphragm or the sponge. A small percentage of women who go on the pill gain a little bit (less than 5 lbs) of weight, but most don't and if you do, you can switch formulas or just exercise more.
A quick birth control overview (of just a few common contraceptives), in order of least to most effective:
Condoms - Barrier method, much more effective with perfect use (leaving space at the tip, using lube, using every single time and always putting on before insertion). Wonderful back-up method while using any of the others below. Inexpensive. Protects against STD's. Available everywhere.
Sponge - Barrier method, a sponge with spermicide that you insert and that works for 24 hours. Available at many drugstores and online. Does not protect against STD's.
"The Pill" - Hormonal birth control. You must take the pill at the same time every single day. It works by fooling your body into thinking you are pregnant, as well as thickening cervical mucus and making it hard for sperm to enter the uterus. Does not protect against STDs. You must have a prescription. Available at pharmacies and health centers.
Nuvaring - Hormonal birth control, a ring that you insert against your cervix, works much the same way as the pill. Need a prescription. Does not protect against STD's. Availability the same as the pill.
Depo-Provera - A shot that you get every few months. High rate of effectiveness. You need to have this done at the doctor's office.
Also be aware of the availability of Plan B or the Morning-After pill. This is available over the counter at pharmacies in the US. You don't need a prescription, but you must be over 18 and you have to ask the pharmacist to provide it. You must take it within 72 hours of having unprotected sex or having a contraceptive fail (condom breaking), so it's best to have a dosage available just in case.
Please, check the source sites listed below for information about all of this stuff. It's important to know how to protect your health, especially if you are going to be sexually active. Sex is a lot of fun, but it's also a big responsibility!

I am not sure about the blood test thing... I do know after I went to my doctor to find out if I was pregnant both times they did a urine test and then sent me to do my blood work.....I didn't read your other question so I don't know if you have taken a urine test ??.. If not you can get them for cheap at Walmart.. the cheapest one is like $4. Also, family planning will do them for free
About birth control.. My ex best friend gained a lot of weight with her birth control... (so she claims).. I dont know if thats why she put on the weight, but it did happen after she started that birth control....Some birth controls can make you sick... they can mess up your cycle and even make your periods really heavy....BUTTTT, there are many kinds of birth controls and you just have to talk to your doctor about what would be the right one for you... and if it is giving you problems, you can always switch to a different kind.....My last birth control I didnt have any problems with.. it is called... Tri Nessa... its a generic brand of Ortho try cyclin

you should be able to go to a clinic, they should do it there, if not they should know where you CAN go to get it done. There are many different kinds of birth control, none protect against STD's except condoms and those dont even protect against all STD's. Ask that clinic and they will be able to give you a lot of information on birth control. for the most part, no you wont get fat. you might gain 5 pounds, but unless your pregnant you shouldnt gain a significant amount of weight.

*sigh* why hasn't your mum discussed this with you? ok, there are several forms of BC. condoms, foams and sponges that foam up, VCF's (vaginal contraceptive films) you can look these all up online so i shan't go into more detail on those, there is spermicidal lubricant, there are condoms(latex and nonlatex ones for those whoa re allergic) you should always if using condoms use a spermicidal lubricant. there are BC pills, shots and implants, IUD's(intra uterine device) though i would steer clear of them, and diagphram's. just do searches on these. oh, you might gain a LITTLE bit of wait if you go on any BC that you take by mouth, in a shot or as an implant. anything other than those should have no bearing on your weight,.
now preggers, go to the dollar store, real cheap you can get a pregnancy test, take it to a public restroom (WITH FRIENDS) if need be and follow the instructions.
either way go to a planned parenthood near you failing that head to your local health dept. or clinic and see what can be done and ask the nurses there about various types of BC. get tested for HIV and STD's.
my daughter is 10, my son 14, last year i took them both, set them down and watched a movie about safe sex, and preventing the spread of STD's & pregnancy. i have never had a problem discussing sex with my children as it is a basic biological function. if they are to make good choices they need to be informed with the truth.
you take care ok?
play safe!
PS: abortion is an option If need be, but i would think long and hard about that one. might piss some off but i am pro choice.

Clinics may do it, but it'd probably be best for you to make an appointment with your doctor.
Birth control effects all women differently. Stay away from the Depo Provera shot, and get on the birth control pill instead. Yasmin doesn't make you gain weight. The only thing is you have to remember to take it every day.

The clinic you mention should be able to do the test and if not i'm sure they will direct you. Their are many different types of birth control available now and they all have different side affects. You can use webmd online to research but you should discuss this with your doctor or the clinic and they can give you the most informed answers

Sudden mood change sudden weight increase, sudden apetite increase or change thereof. Definately a missed or late period. Google search for clinics for those in your area. Birth control while pregnant can and has been proven to damage the uterus and the fetus so, do not take anything until you know for certain you are or are not for your safety. Also, since you are a teen TALK TO YOUR PARENTS! The worst thing possible is to try to hide it, something like that is no joke or anything to play with, let them know, you are too young to be worrying about having a kid or having anything going on like that.

go to a health dept, its free for them to test you...but make sure that your at least 3 weeks late of your period or it wont show up.it did me that way when i was pregnant with my 4 yr old daughter, tests kept saying "negative" then finally i waited til my 3rd week and went to the dr and it said "i am"...also i am pregnant once again and the dang tests did me the same way,so when i was 3 weeks late i went to the health dept and took a test and im pregnant again.but if u want to get a blood test u have to pay for them no matter where u go so just wait til your 3 weeks late and go to the health dept...it will save u money and u dont have to have a parent with u either(from what a friend of mine said when she went when she was pregnant when she was 17).but if you are pregnant please dont have an abortion(most teens gets one) cause one its wrong your killing a human being even though it is unborn and yes they have a heartbeat by 6 weeks pregnant.if u dont want the baby give it up for adoption when u have it.no i'm not a christain but i do beleive in not killing innconent human beings.
wish u the best

I went back to read your previous question before answering this one. You are in college and yet, still a teenager? You aren't saying your age.....but if you're over 18 you can get checked. Do you have a local health department? I'm in the USA and we have them all over and they'll do a pregnancy test for you. You ma have tried the at home test too early.....you could also be missing your period because of stress. Remember, unprotected sex will cause this (I'm sure you knew that at the time) but it's also DANGEROUS......
