Hello, I'm 21 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I have felt him move since 12 weeks, because I am so small. Today, for some reason it feels like he just spasmimg repeatedly for about a minute, and then he calmed down and a kicked a couple of times, but then he spasmed again, really fast like he was shaking or spasming really hard, and fast. Is this something I should be worried about? What is going on in there? Why is that happenning?

OMG i have been feeling the same thing and it is different then hiccups.
she will kick and then she will quiver under my skin it is the weirdest feeling ever then she will kick again and sometime it has done it again but sometimes not.
if you don't get a good answer i will tell you on monday when i ask my midwife.

ok i went to see my midwife today and asked her and she said she has heard of it before but she doesn't know exactly what it is but reassured me that nothing is wrong with the baby at all so you can relax it is almost like when a baby has phantom sucks when breast feeding or sleeping it is a muscular thing ......almost like when we stretch and our muscles shake a bit like stretching our arms while making a fist and our hand quivers so it really isn't a problem so don't worry!!!!

im not lol !! i hope this helped you a bit and im sure if you ask your dr he/she will say the same thing good luck!!!

You are properly having contractions if it is hurting then would see your docder. It sounds like its normal but get checked just in case. Dont worrry about it so much

your baby probably just has the hiccups. This is very normal because your baby is just trying to get his/her lungs developed.

It's probably your own uterine muscles that are doing that.
