well one is im confused of why i dont look pregnant today!!!
im six months and today i look like im 4 months all over again!!
why??? its really bugging me!!!

another is when should i sign up for lamaze/ prenatal classes??
should i have already???

im not sure....

What excactly is the Bradley Method? Also, if anyone has used it, could you give tips and expierience? What are some other good methods?

I'm currently working on certification as a birth doula through DONA international. I've only had three clients so far, but love my job helping women have babies :)

I guess I'm wondering - what do you know about doulas? Not many people know much about them. Of course *I* know what a doula is LOL, but I'm just wondering what the perception is out there. Have you had one, or know someone who has? Would you ever consider having a doula at your birth? Why or why not? What would you expect if you did have a doula there?

I had 2 false contractions this morning at about 5 am at about 630 i went to the bathroom and had a bloodyshow i have had contractions that were not regular since then been very on and off 1st pregnancy and 37 weeks and 4 days had my membrains swept on friday i was 1 cm and not effaced at all at that time

Okay, im 16 weeks today! the past 2 weeks ive been having HORRIBLE pains throughout my whole stomach *mostly lower* my sides & my lower back. they hurt so bad i cant move! it mostly happens when im sitting down & then stand up! i also always feel like i have to "poop" and sometimes i cant & when i do i have to "push" hard & it makes me cramp bad!! AHH!! sorry for the info, but I was just wondering? I go to the doctor later today,but just curious if anyones had this before?

Hey everyone! I'll be 18 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I have a alil bump but im not big at all by any means. Recently, over the past 2 weeks especially ive noticed that im getting this weird pain in the right side of my back when im standing or walking around a lot. It almost feels like a strain in my muscles that won't go away till i sit down...when im at the mall walking around it starts to sometimes kick in when ive been on my feet for a while and seems to get worese the more i stand. I was wondering if this could be due to the baby even though im not that big yet. Could it be that the baby is more towards my back and thats the reason for the pain and for maybe why im not as big as some at almost 5 months. This is my first pregnancy. Thanks!

I have gained alot of weight and my due date is Jan 29th. I'm just worried and the only thing my doctor told me was they will chack with ultrasound in a couple of wks.

this morning i woke up with back pain that seems to be gettin worse. I am 39 weeks pregnant. I have BH contc's all the time but with the back pain i don't feel any sort of contractions...i lost my mucous plug 4 weeks ago and nothing has happened yet....what does anyone think? labor? or just pre labor symptoms?

Im 7 weeks 4 days at the moment (not confirmed by midwife though, just my GP's opinion and he said i may be a little further, i see midwife on 22nd Nov and then have scan 11th dec) anyway my whole family is excited and my mum has already bought its first teddy bless!! when should we start shopping?? after the first scan or not until im lke 20 weeks. my friend is having a baby that has a condition that means it will die during or soon after birth.Do you think it is an reasonable request for her to ask for a section as research has shown babies with this condition have a lot more chance of being born alive and living for longer if born this way.Her doctor has refused her on the basis the operation wont do mother or baby any good but all thats keeping her going is the chance of having time with her baby.

i was thinking about my tummy and how it would look after 2 pregnanciesespecially that i am over weight. so is it possible to tell the doctor i want them to make a tummy tuck for me right after they get the baby out??
do you think it wouldnt be safe?or it will cause more complications?

My husband and I have had some sexual issues. Im 7months pregnant and I have spoken to him about it. At this stage he is scared of hurting the baby and tells me everyday how beautiful and desirable I am and that conforts me.I told him sex is important, not just for our marrriage but also to "keep me open" we had sex on Saturday morning and I felt like a virgin..(its been a month since we last made love) I am very horny these last couple of weeks and have started mastrubating to relief my frustration, sometimes three times a night..Can this be dangerous for my baby?or any side effects?

I asked a question about a week ago about spotting that I was having. Well, it just stopped yesterday after bleeding for 11 days. I am still having slight cramps, dizziness, recently I have become a little constipated, and I'm still having all the symptoms as before. I want to take a pregnancy test but I'm not sure that implantation bleeding would last that long. Also, with my first pregnancy a blood test didn't come back positive until I was 8 weeks pregnant. So should I take one anyways? Should I wait for a three weeks to see if I have a period? Or should I go to the doctor?

i had unprotected sex on my 4th day of menstruation. my boyfriend DID NOT eject inside me. or so we think.

i also took a Cipla I-PILL 60 hours after sex.

heres the story - for the last few months ive been un-employed due to a apprenticeship falling through. I didnt have enough qualifications or confidence and no matter how many interviews i attended i never got the job. Since then ive been signing on and because of that new deal put me on a jobseeker course so i could still be entiteled to money. Since they organised the course i found out im about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. My morning sickness is really bad most days (and nights) meaning i now cant attend the course. I've been warned that not attending means losing all money until i am 29 weeks gone and can claim income support.
What do i do... I cant make it in but cant do with losing my money....Is there anything else i can claim until 29 weeks?

I am going to be 8 wks pregnant on tuesday... and for the past couple weeks ive been spot bleeding just here and there. Nothing excessive. Ive had no pains or cramps. I went to a place like those planned parenthood things and they told me you can bleed through your whole pregnancy... and i had a question on here early and got different answers but still not sure what to think. my ob/gyn is booked solid for a few weeks til i can get in and i dont know if the planned parenthood could help me or not... Im not sure what to think about it and ive done a few pregnancy tests and they have all come back positive. im just confused and not being able to see a doctor soon doesnt really help but i have no other choice i dont think. any help is greatly appreciated. i lay down or sit down and then it takes me 30 mins or more to get up cause i am in so much pain it puts me in tears. i dont want to go to doctors if i am not truely in labor

is it bad to take the birth control pill an hour late or an hour early?
if you take the pill at 9:30pm, are you supposed to take it at 8:30pm now since the time has changed? I know it sounds stupid but it's better to ask than be sorry later on.

i had my son on the 20th of july he is at home and doing great no medical problems at all. but the day before i had him i was cramping and spotting and i went to the hospital(at like 2am) to make shure that every thing was ok. they told me i had a bladder infection & to take some antibodytics (sp?) expect cramping and stick it out. well i did untill about 2am the next day (20th) and when i got there i was 7cm dilated(sp?) and had him with in an hour of getting there. my question is should i file a suit because i was at the hospital telling them something was wrong and they sent me home with out doing a ultrasound or a pelvic exame. or should i count my blessings that my son is alive and doing great.

My bf and I had sex on my b-day 10/27 and didn't use protection. I have my yearly appointment Friday. I know it is still way to early to tell but can the nurse do a test to find out? And if I go to the gym and do my normal 1 1/2 work out will everthing be okay. I usually run/walk for 30 minutes, cross trainner for 20-30 then machines and free weighs. I haven't went just because I want everything to be okay just in case I am pregnant.
Somebody please help me.
