Tape measures do nothing more than chart the rate of your particular pregnancy, NOT give an idea of the size or development of the baby.

They dont want you to get smaller, or larger too fast.

Dont stress over it, its totally not worth it.

It's normal to measure 2 weeks bigger or 2 weeks smaller. If it's more then 3 weeks they will do an ultrasound to measure baby. Some babys are bigger then others or smaller then others that what the 2 week difference is.

I'm 34 weeks and measuring 34 weeks It just means my baby is average size.

If you mean measuring two weeks too small by your pants size, I don't think there is nothing to worry about. People gain weight differently and distribute it differently among their body. Some people don't even get big. Like my fiancee, Nobody could even tell she was pregnant until she was 8 1/2 months along. So nothing to worry about.

Please don't worry, for your sake and your baby. The measurements are never completely accurate all the time, same as the due date. As long as you are following a healthy diet, doing what the doctor says and staying happy you are doing the best you can!
Good Luck and enjoy the experience!

Fundal height is extremely inaccurate and can be up to 3wks off. It's just an estimate to keep track of how you are growing. I really wouldn't worry about it. I have a friend that measured 2wks behind the entire time and gave birth to a 9lb 2oz baby girl.

i am due on jan 24, my tummy size and overall weight is less than what i see around. at my last visit when mid wife measured ( at 24 wks) it was just at the boderline. and since then i hvent gained much weight. now i am due to see my mid wife tomorrow and i am worrying same that i might mesaure smaller than the target line. one of my freinds told me that she was also told that her baby is smaller but he was born 6 lb , and healthy. so keep ur fingers crossed and hope for the best. dont stress your self ( though i am going through same fears as u) but think +ve . after ur scan do write wat they tell u.
good luck and best wishes.

Don't worry. You may just not be that big. It measures how big the placenta is. You have a ways to go. My sister was always small and the babies came out fine.

i measured off through out my second pregnancy, there tape cant be accurate all the time and them pushing on the tummy isnt either. trust your ultrasound when you get it, its not uncommon to be off on dates by a week or two, its possible you didnt ovulate when you thought you did, know what i mean
