I have to have a c section with my second baby due in MArch...I wondered if they usually get the baby out before the due date?

Most of the time they do in order to avoid having you go into labor...two weeks prior to your due date is considered term...which is 38wks gestation...so your md might schedule your c/s anywhere from 37-40wks gestation...depending on the situation...but yes that is completely normal...

My c-section was scheduled for 1/11 and my due date was 1/16 so I would say a week or so anytime after 37 weeks is fine.

I am also having my second baby.... in January and they scheduled my c-section for one week before my due date, at 39wks. My due date is Jan. 30th and we are having the c-section Jan. 23rd. Good Luck!

Normally they operate at no less than 39 weeks.
Any earlier usually due to going into labour or complications (for example) gestational diabetes and the baby gets big.

I think they do it at least a week before the due date. Don't let them do it too early though because my doctor miscaculated my youngest daughters due date and her lungs were not fully developed. She ended up in the infant ICU for a week.

my friends baby was breech and the was going to do a c-section at 37 weeks but the baby finally turned if the baby seems fine they do bring it forward

Yeah, its standard procedure to do it early. I think its a really bad idea. My friend just had her 3rd section, they did it two weeks early as usual, but when he was born it was obvious he was closer to 3-4 weeks early, he was premie and it was their fault.
She decided next time she would find a way to hold off that extra week or more.

one week. My 2nd c-section was scheduled 1 week before, but it can depend on the doctor. Ask your doctor.

They did all mine (3) the tuesday before I was due.
