I too had a yeast infection to my surprise at my 5 weeks visit. The doc wrote me a prescription for bascially Monistat 1 and told me that I could even get the OTC stuff if it was cheaper. You can treat a yeast infection while you are pregnant and it will not hurt the baby.
Good luck & Congrats!

I've gotten those several times throughout my pregnancies and have always been told by my OB to use Monistat. Thats the only one they say to use. Just a word of advice, DO NOT use the one day treatment. It will feel like you are on fire down there for about 24 hours. Using the 3 or 7 day treatment is much more bearable and it still treats it just as fast. I usually use the 3 day but still only use it one night and it still clears it up. Just use it at nighttime.

Just wait until you see the doctor, since your pregnant your body is going through so many changes it could be something else. But if you can't wait just call your doctor let him know your symptoms, if it is a yeast infection they will let you know and tell you if it's ok to use monistate.

I had one of those a few weeks back well mine was Bv! what I would do is call the doctors office or like a nurse hotline on call nurse something like that and ask them just to be safe! The doctor prescribed me some pills and i asked if i could use a cream instead and she said no! So I don't know, but I would just call and ask!

Monistat should be fine but it is best to contact your Dr. and let them know that you have an appt on Friday but that you are having this current problem and is there any over the counter meds that you can take to help/clear up the situation until then

more than likely your doctor will give you a prescription. But I wouldn't wait a week to take care of it. Call your doctor and let her know the situation. She may call in a prescription for you to a pharmacy or just tell you to get over the counter meds.

If it were me I'd use the regular 7 day treatment- but call your OB's office and ask if you can. They should tell you right on the phone.

use the cream, but not the inserts. if you are really unsure you can just call in to your doc for advice. if they are unavailable you can call to any labor and delivery unit and any hospital with any pregnancy questions you may have.
