You can request that, and your OB should be able to ask a consulting plastic surgeon to come in after the baby is born.
There should be no more complications than there already are with a tummy tuck surgery.
You might as well do it now, as you are already opened up.
You can definitely get pregnant afterward--they are just removing loose skin, not reproductive organs.
Good luck and Congrats!
Actually, I just read something that changed my mind on whether you can do this concurrently. It appears that the recommendation is to wait until months later after you have healed. My apologies, we used to do this all the time.

As a surgical technologist with seventeen years experience, I have not seen panniculectomy (tummy tuck) performed at the same time as a C-section. The surgeon performing the C-section would be a GYN specialist while the surgeon who performs a tummy tuck is almost exclusively a plastic surgeon.
Is it possible to have a tummy tuck right after the baby is out? I would not speak in lieu of a surgeon, but I would offer this advice based on my work experience: Anatomically, the skin that has been stretched can be trimmed back, but I would guess that a plastic surgeon would advise that this is not a good time to do this procedure. Although the baby will be out, your uterus will still be enlarged and you will need to heal internally. Your muscles, skin, and uterus will return to less stretched dimensions, and then, when you know how much excess skin you have, you may want to pursue your tummy tuck. Doing it too soon might raise chances for cosmetically bad outcomes, and you wouldn't want that.
Can you get pregnant after a tummy tuck? Yes, as long as you haven't been rendered sterile by surgery, disease, or age. You may want to wait on that tummy tuck, because there is some stretching involved with each pregnancy.
Good luck with your decisions, and remember, ask as many questions as you need to. You wouldn't have major auto work or home remodeling without knowing as much as you could know. Healthcare is no different.

First of all, no they won't do the tummy tuck with your c-section surgery. Secondly, they don't do a tummy tuck until you are at normal weight. If you are overweight, you need to lose it first. Finally, there is NO POINT in having a tummy tuck if you plan to be pregnant again. The surgery is expensive (and YOU have to pay for it, not your insurance) and another pregnancy would just stretch it out again.
While it sounds 'cute', a tummy tuck is major and very painful surgery. All a plastic surgeon can do at a c-section is make the scar much less noticeable.

it might cause complications because i would think they would tell people that option. After a c-section your stomach musules have to go back. your recovery is 6 weeks. Maybe do the c-section recover and bond with you baby then talk about it with your doctor 6 weeks after your fully recovered. I just wouldn't want you to miss time with baby because of a tummy tuck but still ask your doctor and they can tell you, if possible more power to you. congrads and good luck

Well I think it would be silly to just get it done. First, you never know how your body is going to heal. I never had that flabby, extra skin with my son so it would have just been a sh!t ton of money that insurance wouldn't have covered for nothing. Also, your uterus doesn't go back to size until atleast...6 weeks later? So you'd probably not get the results you were looking for. I'd do some more research, not every has the same body, therefor just because someone you know had flabby skin, doesn't mean you will.

Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

no and your insurance wont cover it anyway. thats too much at one time on your stomach muscles. heal from the c- sections then see if you can get your insurance to cover the tummy tuck. most wont as its not medically needed

I don't think a obgyn will do that because your uterus needs to retract. I would wait until your body recovers from giving birth. I don't think it would be safe. Good luck! And heres to having a Happy Healthy baby!!
