I am 28 weeks pregnant and have had itching down in my private area for the past 2 days. I also noticed today that I am a little swollen there as well. I have not had any unusual discharge and it does not have a smell. Could it be a yeast infection or is this normal during pregnancy. I will call my Dr. in the morning either way just to be sure but I would like your opinions before then. Thank you for your help.

Could be a yeast infection or a bacterial infection-you'll want your doc to take a look to see which one it is and give you the right meds for it. Don't worry though-it happens to the best of us while we're pregnant. It is totally uncomfortable, but very normal.

I had no symptoms at all when my OB told me I had the early signs of a yeast infection (my first one ever). I started itching after a couple of days and did Monistat 3 and it went away. A yeast infection is not big deal so I hope it's something like that. I'm glad you're calling your doctor in the morning. Good luck!

i've got had foul smelling urine - and ... it become a UTI. The scent is somewhat different and not friendly ... I hardly get positives on the dip exams they supply you with in the surgeon's workplace ... yet in many cases the urine lifestyle is often effective. *Dip exams can come out damaging for one in all those motives regardless of the presence of an infection. There are different motives it may scent *off* and not be an infection - dehydration, the nutrients you ate, your nostril being great gentle ... I ought to assert, my husband has been waiting to sniff it (yeah, TMI) when I've had an infection ...
