am 37 weeks pregnant and am wondering about labor, i wanted to go the natural way without drugs or anything,but everyone says i will be screaming"epidural please"
but i heard(from people that took the shot) that by taking the epiduaral shot, u can develop back problems in the future..soo how true is this?

After my friend had her baby they made her get rubelle vaccine and a tetnus shot. Can they make you get those. i thought it was supposed to be your choice.

should i tell the doctor to induce me on monday nite. i have a feeling that if i don't go in labor by due date its going to be induced. s why wait 7 days. mite as well get it done on monday. do u think my doctor would agree or no. have u guys been in this position

I'm 15w 2d pregnant, is it normal to hear the heartbeat in two completely different spots??? Baby should be measuring about 4.5inches and I heard a heartbeat on each side of my belly! Is that normal?

I have two daughters who just turned 12 months old. And i am pregnant again. I just recently told my husband that i am pregnant again. He isnt as happy about it as i thought he would be. Our plan was to have three or four children but the twins were unexpected and we didnt expect to have another baby this soon after. Anyone have advice on how to get him more excited about this new baby

hi there!!
i am 22 weeks pregnant with a baby boy!!!! normally, i have been feeling him kicking more and more.. they are low kicks, but i feel him.. at my 20 week ultrasound, he was measuring as a big boy!! but today, he is not kicking as much.. I have not felt a kick in a couple hrs, I am even in his favorite position right now! Kicked back in my office chair..
Is it ok??

my first child was 9lb 5oz. i was induced 4 days after my due date. my current obgyn (different guy than delivered my son) has told me my girl will be almost is big, if not the same size as my son was. he acted like he would induce me based on her size at a 38 week ultrasound. well, my husband asked him at our last visit about induced labor and he told him he will only do it if the 38 week ultrasound shows she is 10 lbs or more(!) and even then will only do it at 39 weeks. now im scared he will let her get too big and ill wind up having a c-section. my first was vaginal so i know my body can handle 9 plus pounds but im worried she will be even bigger!! has anyone had a baby this large, vag delivery? thanks.

ok so lately i have been have headaches throughout the day, mild cramps in my lower stomach and like the other day i was sitting down in a chair and when i stood up my belly button was hurting so bad if felt like it was stretching or pulling. My breast hurt everynow and then but not that bad and blue veins are visible..i had some brown discharge mixed with like CM..so please help me out ladies...thx in advance..

Meaning can I just take my regular centrum vitamin every day along w/ a folic acid supplement rather than prenatal vitamins?

Everyday I drink a boost and take my centrum, folic acid, & vitamin E...are all of these things safe to continue once I get pregnant?

The reason Im asking in the pregnancy part of answers, is because I didn't get any answers in women's health, and I know you girls are on here all the time. I lost my twins3 weeks 3 days ago on Aug. 26th, naturally I have been bleeding since. On Monday, I passed a large piece of tissue, about the size of your hand spread out...I gave it to the OB/GYN, and hes sending it off for testing, along with something else he removed during a pelvic exam. I am just curious if anyone else has experienced this, and would like to share with me what happened. They said at the time of birth, that both placentas delivered intact. So I'm just wondering what I passed. And if I will have to have a D & C done to remove more tissue even though both babies, and placentas seemed to come out fine. I'm also having kinda bad cramps along with the bleeding, is that normal after childbirth?

I’m 18, and my ex boyfriend and I broke up last summer like in 06. We only dated for like 9 months, but we acted like we were married, to the point where his family thought we would. Some thing Is just not right, and I really need help with solving this! I had a ring, we rushed into everything. Had unprotected sex.. And one day he just changed, and all of a sudden the family that loved me so much hated me. He deicide to break up with me over my work phone, and threaten me.. So that night I went to his house and dropped his stuff off with one of my friends, some one keyed his car n blamed me ( I think it was someone in his family) I had a positive pregnancy test and I told him, we were at his brothers house and they asked me to go to food lion to get them sweet tea, so I did. And when I came back there was a EPT sitting there and I had to take it. So I did, and it came up negative ( so they said).. One day we were at the baseball fields watching his 6 year old nephew play baseball and his aunt showed up and ran up in front of everyone and started screaming and yelling all the kids were looking, just because of me? I walked away and from him. Well I haven’t had my period scene then, and I have gained a lot of weight in general.. Its been like 15 months, I don’t understand anything that is going on..when I lay down and look at my stomach its always jumping, constantly.. If I touch it and I “am ticklish” the other side of my stomach will jump and its all weird..I pee really thick, and sometimes I have a lot of thick gue it seems like..
My ex boyfriend also spread a bunch of rumors about me, so I can’t go to anyone.. It will just get back to him.. Please help me

I am 19 weeks preg and I went to the doctors 2 weeks ago and I also got an ultrasound. My darleing was ALIVE and her heartbeat was at 124bpm. Now I am 19 weeks and I am freaking out because I havent felt her move for 2 days not including today(if she doesnt move). And last night I felt so empty.I felt sore in my abdominal.(i didnt know if this is me stretching or something is wrong) So I started freaking out!! Is it possable to have a misscarige and not know it, this far along? has anyone else ever been through something like this and eerything was alright?

Hospital birth, medicated birth, c-section birth, home birth, water birth, induced birth.

Assuming a birth without complications and not considering the mother, which type of birth do you think is better for the baby? Why? (Considering the baby's physical, emotional health and impact on mother baby bonding)

Which do you think is worst for the baby? Why? Have your experiences changed your views?

This is a non-specific question. Obviously for some individual babies certain things are better. I'm talking about what you think is best for most of the babies, most of the time.

I was just on a site where I can enter my due date and find out how many weeks along I am, and also convert it to months, and when I seen how far along i am (3.1 months) I was really shocked. Does the whole pregnancy go by this fast or is it just me? And have any of you ever felt if you thought about it in weeks that it seemed less time than when you think about it in months? Or could I just be over excited? So far it feels like it's going fast, and it seems like it's going fast too? So if any mommy out there knows what I'm talking about, let me know.

my girlfreind could possibly b only 6 weeks pregnant now and her uterus is tilted wouldnt that make it harder for a doctor to see a heartbeat or movment but the thing that scares me is there was no movement or no yolk sak yet so should we really be worried

I was wondering if any of you ladies has ever experienced extreme thirst in your early pregnancy. I will be 6 weeks along tom, and I am thirsty all of the time. I know that people say things like that can be a sign of what your body needs, but I drink about 3-4 water bottles and then another 1-2 glasses of water plus alot of juice a day. I know that I do not need more, and I know that there is no harm in me drinking alot, but I was just wondering if anyone else has ever felt this extreme thirst in early pregnancy.
