i went to the my regular prenatal appointment yesterday, my blood pressure has been high through the whole pregnancy and yesterday it was normal but i had protein in my urine. so i just completed a 24 hour urine test. i hope to have the results tomorrow. anyway i noticed when i was putting my pee in the jug that there was white flakes in my urine at times. what are the flakes? is that the protein?? im so scared that ive developed pre eclampsia... this my first child so any advice and experiences would help. thanks

During the Day I never really feel nausiated or sick at all its just at night around 8 to when ever I go to bed! I dont throw up just really feel like im going to. I know its normal to get morning sickness anytime of day, i was just wondering if its normal to only get it at night and not at all in the morning?

Hi,I am 38 wks pregnant and my last visit to the doctor was last week and she said that baby hasn't dropped yet.Baby was 6.5 lbs 2 weeks ago,he hasn't dropped yet and I really want to see him soon,it's my first baby...is there anything I could do to help him drop? Why does this happen? Also I've been having pain in my upper stomach,like burning and some pain in my back,close to my lungs could it be preeclamsia? I am scared and worried I want my baby to be okay....thanks a lot

At my 20 week ultrasound the baby had the cord between its legs and the doctor said she would say boy if she had to guess but she was not sure.Anyone had a situation like this and the "i think it might be a penis" turned out to be the cord? I have never had an ultrasound with any of my kids where they acted so unsure.

My hubby and I are going to this naturally again. Well, again for me, first time for him. But my daughter had come so fast that I really didn't have a chance to practice any sort of "technique". So this time, I am going "no drugs" again and was looking for some good research materials regarding the Bradley Method. I have a massage therapist ready to be in the delivery room with me and my hubby is totally prepared to be my backbone.. Hehehe. Any ideas? Something that speaks to the father to be as well preferrably. Thanks for any answers!

the nurse told me that i would have more ultrasounds to monitor the baby's weight since she is more likely to be larger since i have GD. i had my checkup yesterday (i'll be 34 weeks saturday) and she said i should have one soon like next week. well right before i was leaving she asked the dr when did he want her to schedule one & he said 38 weeks. i am now going to the dr every week so they can do blood work & monitor my sugar. should i ask again about an ultrasound next wednesday when i go or just wait it out til 38 weeks. i don't want to have a huge baby & at my 20 wk u/s the tech didn't tell me the baby's weight & it wasn't on the report. i've gained 28lbs so far. should i be concerned?

What causes this? I have been much more active in the past few days....we are moving from one house to the other.

Should I worry? I had preeclampsia with my last pregnancy. The swelling goes down after about 2 hours after waking up.

I have heard of many women who still continued their monthly cycle in the first trimester, and did not know they were pregnant. Can you describe your period? Was it normal, heavy, light, irregular?

I have this strange feeling that I may be pregnant, yet my last 3 periods were on time. 2 were quite heavy, and the last week was rather normal. But I feel so many early pregnancy symptons.
We do not have intercourse during my fertile time, and use the pull-out method. I know, I know, not 100% fool-proof at all. I will be taking a test in the morning.

But I am curious how many did continue their periods while still pregnant.

if i missed my birth control 2 days ago (suppose to take it at 10pm) then i took it at 1pm when i woke up, i had alittle bit of cramping then it went away. i also had sex yesterday and now that i have a chance of being pregnant, should i continue to take the pill or stop and see if i start my period to see if i am pregnant if i dont start my period

i just really starting taking brith control this month, i was on it before but had to switch, i take ovcon 35

what should i do, should i not take the pill and see if i start or keep taking it till my expected period( im afraid to take it if i might be pregnant), and how high r my chances of being pregnant??

We have been trying for about 5 weeks now so im not sure how far gone i am but i have rang the doctor and booked appointment. My partner says we should wait until we tell anyone because we havent past the 3 month mark. The only problem is i feel like i need to talk to some one as i have all these butterflies and worries etc, i want to tell my nan but i know that my Mum should be the first person but we are close although i dont live at home and im not sure what her reactions going to be but im sure it wont be a good one!

Im 38 weeks pregnant I went to my doc and they checked me I am not dilated any or effaced any. My little boy head is down and is in position for labor but nothing else is going on down there. I get little braxton hicks contractions (well i think they are braxton hicks) they start in my back then wrap around to the bottom of my stomach they are on and off and dont hurt to much..But my quesiton is for first time mommies..how long did it take you to go into labor if by your 38 week you had not dialation or anything..my boyfriend and I are thinking ill have to be induced and will go over my due date..I really dont want that..i want my baby to come natural...any stories for me..thanks for listening and replying..

My last period ended the beginning of the month. I estimate I ovulated around the 11th, and I had sex four days before, on that day, and two days after. Now I'm having naseau (food related and smell related) mood swings (depressed mostly, kind of lethargic) back pains (muscle pains and knots on either sideof my lower back) and most predominatley, GAS. Low in my tummy, high in my tummy, all over. Bubbles and gas pains and (eek) passing gas. Which is not very normal for me. I am having normal bowel movements and am not constipated. I am due for my period at the END of the month and can't test yet. This was my first normal cycle after getting regulated from Depo, which I got one shot of last March. Does it sound likely I'm pregnant? I know you're not mind readers, but I'm asking for educated opinions (mommies). I also want to eat a lot but don't seem to have my normal appetite, and am tired a lot.

I know it's wrong. Killing babies, innocents. They litterally burn the babies inside the womb. They cut them apart!

Alright, I am 31 pregnant with baby #2. My first is only 9 months old right now. No one has offered to throw me a baby shower and I don't expect anyone to since they are so close together. They are also both boys. But, there are things that we still need. Would it be in bad form to throw our our baby shower? I was thinking of maybe just having a cookout and have people bring diapers..I guess like a diaper shower or something. Would that be to tacky to do? Or should I just ask like my Mother-in-Law to do it? I just don't want to seem like I am asking for to much.

well,im a teenager who is pregnant and im a junior in high school..i decided to continue going to school even if im pregnant becaus ei really want to go to school and graduate..should i tell my friends and teachers that im pregnant before i start showing? ive only told my school counselor and one close friend about it..i know it would be tough because people would talk about me,but what should i do? and what reactions should i expect from them being a teenage pregnant?

Ok say a woman is pregnant and someone kills her they get charged with 2 counts of murder right? Why does that count as killing 2 people but if you have an abortion its not considered murder? I did some checking on the internet and if I am pregnant I am about 2 weeks along. Is that still too soon to do a hpt? I am pretty confident I am pregnant. Sore boobs, nauses all the time, the smell of certian foods that i normally love make me want to vomit. I am so tired I can barely hold my eyes opened and thats even after hours of sleep. I am so moody I can't help it. So like I said I am pretty confident what's going on. I am just not sure if its too soon for a hpt. Any help with this would be very grateful.

On the 8th, the first day after intercourse on the 7th, I spotted very, very little. I also had a very light pinkish discharge that lasted the 8th and 9th. My body just feels different. I know it's early, but I know my body and things just aren't right. I'm peeing a lot. I'm getting stretch marks on my breasts and my actual nipples are a bright pink and my areolas are a dark brown and I'm getting bumps on them. My boobs tingle. My lower abdomen also has a tingling sensation. I don't know if this is relevant or not, but the past few days I have found tiny blood particles in my urine after I wipe. Very little. I was just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms when they were pregnant and I need all the information I can get. Some women say that they have had similar symptoms 2-3 weeks after conception and others don't get them until they are much further along. Please, I am 18 years old and I just would like a second opinion or anyone who knows or has been here before. Thanks.

I have 2 children and am trying for our 3rd and last baby now. I have always waited for a missed period before I tested but this time I am very anxious. My period is supposed to start in 4 days and is very regular. This morning I had what I believe was implantation bleeding( had it with both prior pregnancies). So how soon can I test and get accurate results?
