Don't worry to much. You are further along than most women make it with pre eclampsia and yours doesn't sound that bad, if indeed it is that. You and your baby should be fine at this point even if you do have it. Take it easy the rest of the day and wait for the results, I bet they are not as bad as you are imagining. Good Luck!

Yes the white things are protein. Every person has protein in their urine, enough to see.

The renal glads (like your kidneys) are able to fliter out protein from your body. When they start to shut down and struggle, and even fail, one of the first signs is protein in the urine. Pregnancy can cause them to struggle because of all the stress on your body.

Fresh pineapple has enzymes in it that help to break up and metabolize protein. My BP went up near the end, and I switched to eating atleast one serving of fresh pineapple a day, and had no signs of protein in my urine. After one 24 hour test a week, all the others were well below normal, where as the first was nearly over the limit.

Drink water, water water, and only fresh fruits and veggies. That will help lower your BP, literally in like 7 days.

I am going through the same thing as you are; except for the BP which has never been an issue. They sent me for a clean-catch urine test (no 24-hour thing). That came back contaminated. So they had me go for a catherization. Did that last Fri and had my reg OB appt this last Tues. Doc said that also came back contam! WTF!!! So he recommended I go for another. HOPEFULLY this one will be good! Everything up to this point has been good. No problems. I have not noticed the white flakes...hmmm. Good luck!
