went to the doctor and only heard one heartbeat...is it possible that if i have twins the heartbeats can be similtaneously

anything is possible you hear about twins hiding behind eachother and all sorts maybe u have 2 wait a bt longer

I know this sounds harsh and it's too late now because you;re already pregnant, but it's possible you are too young to be having children. You're wishing and daydreaming for something you WANT, that isn't even true. What other unreasonable expectations might you have for your child, that he or she is not going to be able to live up to? Make-believe is over It's good to have a vivid imagination, but if you find yourself wanting your child to be this or that, please go to counseling.

You may think I am over-reacting, but my husband is a college professor and he is dealing with a student who's 20 years old and the mother has just cut off tuition funding because she wanted to be a grandmother by now.

No! most of the time there is a double heart beat even if the doctors isn't able to see the otherchild.

my sister is also having twins but she can listen heart beat of both the child. ask your doctor about that again maybe there can be another reason.

Yes, it is entirely possible. The only sure way to tell is with an ultrasound.
