I need a good book that's pretty much like going to a childbirthing class. My husband will be here only a few weeks before delivery and it's not enough time for us to go to a class. Any suggestions?

Ok, Tina, What kind of answer was that? Yes, I want my husband to be there supporting me. We BOTH decided to have a baby. How can you say something like that? You must have a real jerk of a husband. Unlike you, I have a great relationship with my husband and want him there every step of the way. And just to let you know he's been deployed for 6 months now, and him helping me durning labor is extremely important to the both of us!

I recommend the book called, Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. It contains the exercises you need to practice.

get a hypnobirthing book- i'm serious! i'm not doing hypnobirthing but they teach everything the husband should do, everything to expect, and has great relaxation techniques. you can use the info regardless if you do hypnobirthing or not.

also find a book by the people who do bradley birth method classes, that is husband coached birthing, so your husband will feel really involved. bradley has a very natural approach to pregnancy and labor, as in, this is what your body is made to do, etc so it's a reassuring method to study as well. those are the two that have been suggested to me by my cousin and her midwife and they have been really helpful. most of the info i have found is off their websites.

congrats..! My bible when pregnant was what to expect when your expecting! its great.. its just a month by month guide of you and your baby as you grow.. but as far as advise on giving birth.. there is nothing really that can prepare you.. my advise is too WALK!! get your leg muscles built up for pushing! so it will be alot easier!! All your husband can do is be with you for support.. Its really ALL YOU! LOL good luck..

do a birthing class with a girlfriend. the men usually (from what i'm told) forget everything in the class by the time labor is here.
seriously, do you want the person who got you into this kind of pain holding your hand or a sympathetic friend?

You could go to your local library and see if they have any videos. Good luck!
