Why does this happen? Also I've been having pain in my upper stomach, like burning and some pain in my back, close to my lungs could it be preeclamsia? I am scared and worried I want my baby to be okay....thanks a lot

Walking, lots and lots and lots of walking.... you can also try

Pelvic rocks -- On hands and knees, rock your pelvis up and down 20 times.

Pelvic rolls -- Think like a belly dancer and roll your hips around and around 10 times, then switch directions.

Lunges -- Put one foot on a chair next to you and lean sideways towards that side, then straighten up, 10 times, then switch the chair to the other side.

Squats -- If you can't get into a squat without help, have DH support your weight on the way down, or slide off the sofa into a squatting position. Try to keep your feet flat on the floor, slide them out farther if you need to.

mostly exercises can get your baby to move down, be careful though you don't want to over exert yourself.

Congratulations by the way!

The baby will drop when its ready. Enjoy the last couple of weeks of pregnancy, because after that, the real work begins.

The burning is probably heartburn from the baby pressing up into your chest. The doctor would have caught preeclampsia and you would definitely know something was wrong. You would have swelling in your feet, arms, and hands, protein in the urine, high blood pressure, and possibly headaches and vomiting.

dont worry too much if your baby doesnt drop. it wont affect you going into labor. me and my sister both didnt drop for our mom and she still went into labor on her own, i ended up dropping while she was in labor, my sister was still high up and needed some help coming out but that was it. My baby is still high up too but im not that worried about it becuase labor will come when my body is ready. I get the same pain in my upper stomach, as long as your dr isnt worried about your blood pressure when they check you should be ok. My BP is fine and they said the pain could just be muscle tenderness do to those feet being jammed in there.

Your baby is fine and this will happen even if you didn't want it to. i know everyone gets a technical about having a baby but the reality is your body will do all the work and the Dr is just there to catch it and take credit (for catching it that is).

Father of four -

baby 1, water brakes , panic sets in, started yelling and flying to the hospitol so I could sit there for hours and hours.

baby 4, water brakes, check watch, finish watching TV show, and then slowly start packing for the hospitol. maybe stop for burger on the way.

Good luck and take it easy. humans have been doing this for a couple days at least and you will be fine.

Congrates on the baby!!

You'd swell if you had preeclampsia. Your feet hands and especially your face. You're fine. You will have pain in your back at your ribs and on top of your belly, its normal.

Do cat backs, squats, and stay active. That'll help encourage baby to drop, and keep your pelvis open.

Its all up to baby, he will drop when he's ready, dont worry. A lot of women dont drop until the week of delivery, even later for some.

YOu're fine. Everyone woman has these moments.

Its normal dont worry your baby probably did drop but you havent noticed. First time babies are funny and they do wantever they want to. What you can do is have sex and keep yourself active around the house. The burning could be cause the baby has lots of hair. I know that it s sounds weird but I had the same pain and both of my babies came out with a full head of hair take tums or mylanta.

Your baby is fine. I went through the same thing. You will feel better when he drops. Go for long walks, that helped me. Good luck.

Walking is about the extent of what you can do. Up and down stairs, and other things like that will help!
