My hubby and I are going to this naturally again. Well, again for me, first time for him. But my daughter had come so fast that I really didn't have a chance to practice any sort of "technique". So this time, I am going "no drugs" again and was looking for some good research materials regarding the Bradley Method. I have a massage therapist ready to be in the delivery room with me and my hubby is totally prepared to be my backbone.. Hehehe. Any ideas? Something that speaks to the father to be as well preferrably. Thanks for any answers!

Thanks for the answers thus far! I am actually 30 1/2 weeks, so its a little late for me to enroll in classes... plus, the pocket book isn't full enough to support classes along with being out of work for three months thereafter! Ugh.... so reading is pretty much my only option at this point. :)

Well the Bradley Method is husband coached labor, check out their website:

bradleybirth.com

you can look at their FAQ and everything. i planned on doing bradley classes here but we have run out of time. there is a book that is helpful but if you can do the classes you will be a lot more prepared i think.

i have heard from a lot of women that bradley is the best method to do, and i really like their ideas.

(this comes from their faq site:

Husband-Coached Childbirth by Robert A. Bradley, M.D.
Natural Childbirth The Bradley ® Way by Susan Mc Cutcheon, AAHCC

I used the Bradley method four times. It reallly works. I recommend the book, Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. That book will help you both a lot. It also contains what you need to practice. One thing they don't mention, though, is prenatal pernenial massage. It stretches the pereneim in advance so you won't need stitches.
