After my friend had her baby they made her get rubelle vaccine and a tetnus shot. Can they make you get those. i thought it was supposed to be your choice.

Also is it true you can get something to numb you before you have an iv

well she had had a rubella vaccine when she was little but they said she didnt get enough of the vaccine. but she didnt want it. i dont understand how they forced her to get it. i do not want a tetnus shot, and they are not goign to fource me to get one i refuse

Um, if they actually physically forced her, she can get a lawyer and press charges for assault with a deadly weapon. They cannot force someone to get vaccines. That is totally against her legal rights. Everyone has the right to wave vaccinations, they are not required by law.

If they try to force you, put your foot down and say no. If they keep bugging you, tell them you will be contacting your lawyer if they do not stop. If they physically force you to get them, then, like I stated above, you can press charges for assault with a deadly weapon.

It is so funny. You have to sign a consent for to receive vaccinations, which makes it voluntary. Yet, if you refuse to vaccinate, you are harassed and threatened with being forced to.

doctors cant but schools can. If you want your children in school vaccinate. your friend had probably never been vaccinated for rubella.

and no pain killers before an iv nice try though

Things may be different where you live, but where I am, no one can be forced to be vaccinated.

And IVs are only a bit uncomfortable...you really don't need to be numbed first.

I doubt doctors can force you, but many or most school districts will not allow children to start school if they don't have vaccines.

No they can't force you. And the name of the numbing medicine is called Liticain....but it's a needle..so what's the point.
