I am 34 weeks preggo right now. i have been reading a lot on pregnancy and going to classes preparing my self for the big day. i've read a lot on braxton hicks contractions but never read that a sign could be sharp stabbing pains in the cervix. and usually everything i read says b.h. contractions don't usually hurt. whatever this is definately hurts! i have had them the past 2-4 days. i get the pains off and on for about a 1 min - 1 1/2. so its not real contractions. if i am walking around when it hits i almost can't move because they hurt so bad. my doc usually starts pelvic exams for progress after week 36. if i tell her what i am feeling could she start pelvics earlier? i have an appointment tuesday. so is this a sign my cervix is thinning early? anyone else had these or know what i might be feeling?

Currently i would be considered obese... i am VERY concerned that my weight will become a problem further along in my pregnancy. (especially if I do gain more weight.) can anyone help?

Is it safe to go to work until you go into labor? I'm currently working at a movie theatre, I'm on my feet all day and do alot of other stuff. I'm used to it so it doesnt really bother me. But should there be a stopping point? Should I stay working until i go into labor or should i stop working at a certain time. I'm 31 weeks pregnant right now. Thanks for the answers!

I just found out 3 weeks ago we will be havin IDENTICAL twins I am now 10 weeks and have lots of cramps morning sickness so tired I feel dead lol but All this is normal says the doctor. So I have a three year old and she was born at 24 weeks and I am afraid I will deliver early again seeming there are two! that is one concern the next is how many identical twins actually make it I hear things that you have a 50% chance and things I must not understand!? Anyone with advise anything to help me calm and plan or anything would be great thanks so much

My due date isn't until Jan 27th, and in my town they hold prenatel classes every month, but, in nov and dec. cuz of the holidays, they cut them short. And Jan., I think would be too close to the due date to do it then. My question is do you think Oct. would be too soon to take the classes?

The sonographer said that the yolk sac was measuring 4-5 weeks, not 6. I know for sure that I am at least 6 weeks, as I was on clomid to conceive and therefore, knew exactly when I ovulated.
I assume that this means that the pregnancy is not progressing how it should, and therefore, the pregnancy is not viable?
I am seeing my obstatrician in a couple of days, but need answers before then as I am really really worried.

I want to paint, i want new furniture, i sweep and mop everyday! I'm not a pig but mopping everyday is not my thing! Is this normal? i was wondering if this may be something that continues!

Ok, so I am 40 weeks, 3 days pregnant. I didnt know I was pregnant until I was almost 16 weeks along b/c I had experienced bleeding around the same time as my period wouldve been for two months...Anyways, I know that ultrasound dating is most accurate for due dates, but the earlier this is done, the more accurate it's considered. Well, here I am, supposedly 40 weeks, 3 days. I have not lost my mucus plus, had my "bloody show", I have not dilated what so ever yet, and generally just don't feel hugely pregnant. If I dont go by next thrusday my doctor is going to induce which is fine because I am very very eager to meet this little one. However, given my pregnancy scenario, how likely does it sound that my due date might be off by a couple of weeks? (I do NOT know my LMP, which is why they went by ultrasound)

My mom seems to think I could be having twins. I am 5' 3" and was 120 pre pregnancy and have gained five pounds my first month and my chest and belly are growing so fast. I have four set of twins on my side of the gene pool while my husband has one set (although I read his side can't raise my chances of having twins). I have an ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday and I am 11 weeks. I read you find out after 6-8 weeks. I also read your chances go up when you have your first period after getting off of birth control which is our case. I had my BC (IUD) removed July 3rd and had my period July 5th and found I was pregnant Aug 3rd. When did you find out you were pregnant with twins? How many weeks? Any hints? I have a four year old daughter already. Thanks :-)

I just found out I am pregnant (Friday morning to be exact.) My last menstrual cycle started on Aug 15th. I'm probably a month in. The last 2 weeks before I even THOUGHT I could be pregnant I took Advil PM gel tabs for a bad headache that I thought was due to PMS but in hindsight was probably early signs of pregnancy. Everything I have read says that small adult doses in the first trimester is "OK" but not recommended. Anyone have any insight on this? I don't want to miscarry.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and dead set on VBAC. However, my doctor (at 35 weeks) decided she HIGHLY recommends a c-section because I only have a single-layer suture. I'm not overweight, gained a little more than normal but not much (35 lbs so far), no diabetes, great blood pressure. The baby MAY be big. My 20 week ultrasound showed it EXACTLY on track and cI haven'ct been tape measured for 3 weeks.

Any stories for me? Success stories will be encouraging. If you were unsuccessful, do you feel like you could have been successful if you weren't so "high risk" for uterine rupture? Did you have a uterine rupture?

If i had the baby now would she be ok?
im 37 weeks and 3 days my due date is oct 10th if i had her soon would she be ok her lungs and everthing? im saying if she come on her own im not saying im trying to hav her now!!!! im not trying to hav her now im just asking if i went into labor now on my own would she be ok ?

It's a piece of stretchy cloth that you wear with your regular sized pants and keeps your clothes up while you can wear them unbuttoned or unzipped. I don't have much money for maternity wear and I have to figure out another solution...

My first question is, is it bad to miss days where I don't take my prenatals every day, i'm trying to but sometimes I miss 3 days then I take it then I miss a day again and take it the next so how bad is that? My next question is it possible to feel the baby at 10 weeks....I was rubbing my stomach and I felt something touch me but it went away right away. And lastly theres alot of mucos that comes out of me sometimes is that normal?

1. I am 12 weeks pregnant and I am cramping and having heavy bleeding and I am either 1 or 2 centimeters dilated. What does this mean?

2. What is the largest number or babies a woman can concieve at one time, and how long would the pregnancy last?

3. If I'm having a miscarriage at 12 weeks, is it early or late?

4. Do I need a D&C if I miscarried later on?

5. Since I miscarried in second trimester, do I need to push the remaining parts of conception out of me vaginally and when should I do this and will it make my hips wider to do a vaginal birth to a fetus?

had last period on April 22 with 28 day cycles, ultrasound tech confirmed Jan 27th due date..... had sex with man a on may 6 and 9. had sex with man b on may 13 which was 1 week to the day before i was supposed to get my period. whose baby do you think it is????? im definitely going to have a dna test done when the baby is born, but im curious and anxious in the mean time.

i have been having unprotected intercourse for about the past four weeks and yes! i am trying to have a baby but i am only 18 and really dont no much about being pregnant exept what my best friend has told me she is 4 months along but today i started slightly bleeding and i have a some slight cramps i no it is not my period my cramps when i have my period are very bad and the hurt so i know its not that my blood is very light and my cramps are not bad at all but there still there my nipples are gettin sore and i have noticed i have been urinating more than normal im just 100% sure i am i have been reading on revolution health a site my best friend gave me to go to about pregnancy and it say the fourth week some women have slight bleeding and slight craming so my question is do you think i could be pregnant????
