YEP! Just stay away from the litter box that is where the stuff is that can make you sick!

I'll have to agree with everyone else and say just beware of the litter box. Some cats carry toxoplasmosis which would be found in their feces. Especially if the cat eats rodents and such. That's very bad for a fetus. But being around a cat in general would be fine.

You can have cats, pet cats, be around cats--the only a woman who is pregnant is to avoid is changing the litter box.

Go to your friends house and pet her cat/s and have fun with the visit!!!!!

i had cats through out my pregnancy i work with animals so i am around them constantly , its only a problem like everyone has said if changing kitty litter ,, also what you have to remember is to wash your hands as a precaution , cats can also have other things like internal parasites that can be transfered on to you so basically simple hygiene is the only must

Just stay away from the cat's little box. The problems arise when the cat scratches in the litter and you breath in the dust or from handling the litter box.

The thing with cats is that thier not suppose to be around the cat poop.

yeah. in fact i have cat. i make my fiance clean the litterbox though. nothing wrong with it.
