Check with the doc. But I was working 10-12 hour shifts until just last week (33 weeks). The doctor said it was ok for me to work longer because I had no complications and I was used to it. I just got really super tired of all of the running around and I have a second job. If you can, hang in there a little longer, you will want to have some time off with the baby!

I am planning on working until 1 week before my due date. but i live 6 hours from the nearest hospital so that is when i am going to stay with relitives who live closer until my baby is born. also my husband is overseas right now so i am by myself. I don't know what people in "normal" situations would do. If you feel fine i would just work until you go into labor.

You can keep working, but check with your doctor and see what he says for you to do. Some people that I know took off a couple of weeks before they were supposed to go into labor.

Your doctor should advise you, it is different for everyone, usually 2 weeks before your due date. It is too uncomfortable to keep working at that point. Plus you need to spend time at home getting ready before you baby comes. It is important to be at home before hand getting the babies things ready, washing bedding and baby clothes, organizing etc. This is called nesting and it is part of bonding with your child even though it is not here yet.

I worked up until about two weeks before I had my daughter. I started working from home at that point because I was soooo tired all the time.

i've heard if you are feeling good to keep working. i've heard a lot of places don't let you take off until the baby is born. it also depends on what your doctor says.
i'm personally stopping two weeks before my due date, but that's because my supervisors pinned me down to a date so they could find a temp to replace me. i'm 32 weeks now.

You probably can if you have a normal healthy pregnancy and your doc says it is OK - but it is courteous to give your boss a set date to start maternity leave so that he is not left scrambling to fill your spot when you go into labor.

I'd stay up until the doctor says you can't anymore. My friend was on bed rest and complained about being bored.... lol

youll be fine. the one thing you could have a problem with are vericose veins. as long as your not spliting wood or doing any really heavy lifting your ok. like one said above, pregnancy is not a disability.
