Absolutely not!! SOme women can handle working full time up until labor, and some cant. And that is NOT a character flaw. Every womans body is different and every woman handles pregnancy differently.
I think that if you can afford to go down to PT, do it! You will have a very full time job soon enough. Time to get some rest now while you can!!

I was working 10-12 hours a day on my feet just until last Monday (I was 33 weeks). If you can hold off, try to. I am so nervous about money now. I still work one job about 25 hours a week but I am able to sit more and the shifts are only 5 a day. You are not a wimp, everyone is different, but I say, hang in there...just until you are sure that you won't be completely broke! It sucks, I know. But, many women work on their feet until the end, I just couldn't take it anymore!

If you are high-risk you should cut back. I worked 12-14 hour days until I was 18 weeks and started having spotting. I took a week off from work and cut back to 8 hour days but my son ended up being born at 29 weeks. If you don't need the money go ahead and cut back on your hours. You want to reserve as much energy as you can for when they baby comes. Don't let other women on here tell you that you are weak because you want to cut back.

if your boss cant or wont figure out a way for you to sit more while at work and you can afford it go ahead and go part time. if you are in a high stress job definatly go part time if you can. your body will tell you if you are doing to much so listen to it. you are not a wimp for wanting to cut back on hours, and everyone is different. i worked until i was induced and it was a stressful job( i was head cook in a supper club) but i enjoyed my job and my boss let me take extra breaks so i was fine. but i never had pregnancy issues either (morning sickness. water retention, etc) , your case is probably totaly different then mine though. just do what your body tells you to and it should be ok

Not a wimp at all! Will your employer will make the allowance for you to sit down while you're at work?

I am a teacher, and being in front of the class whle pregnant wasn't much fun. I just grabbed my chair A LOT and taught from my seat-I made fun lessons revolved around that chair!

I worked full time, 9-5:30, 5 days a week until I was 37 weeks pregnant, and I had my son at 39 weeks.

*shrug* Lots of women do it..hold your head up. It keeps you busy, which essentially will make these last two terrible months go a little faster. :)

Maybe ask for a stool? i did.

i worked with my 4 year old until i had to go from work to have him, it sucked, but we were broke. if you can afford it, do it, but i recommend that you work and save up so you can stay home when it is most important, after you have your baby.
