Oh there are definitely healthy ways to lose weight while pregnant. The problem comes into play with the lack of vitamins and nutrients that come about with dieting and how much is weight and how much is fluids, so the best way to check is to ask the OB doctor. They have guidelines and menus even that you can work with and know that you're doing the very best for your baby nutrient wise as well as taking care of your health. Walking is very good for you as well and helps with the labor also, just don't overdo it. Check with the OB and good luck ok?

I would have to say that it is not a good idea to try to actively lose weight while you are pregnant. What you can do though is to monitor what you eat and how much you eat. I am currently 39 weeks and was nearing 200lbs when I got pregnant. I was very worried about gaining too much weight because I had gained 55 lbs with my last child but wasnt overweight to begin with. I made sure to take my vitamins every day and to eat a healthy breakfast even if it just meant some cereal with lots of vitamins like Total and o.j. I worked in a restaraunt so I was on my feet and walking around all day so I wasnt sitting around. Early on in pg. I didnt necessarily eat lunch but would bring healthy snacks to work like carrots, cheese cubes, Special K snack bites or cereal bars(I looked for ones with the most vitamins). All in all I have only gained 15 lbs and the last 5 have been gained in the last 4-5 weeks. So there are ways to monitor your weight gain if you have the will to give up alot of the junk/quick/easy foods and lower your portions and focus on eating good for you foods and drink plenty of WATER and get some exercise in throughout the day, walking may be the best for you if you are currently not very active. Do not believe the whole you are now eating for 2 thing cuz in you really only need to be taking in 300 more calories and you can do that by adding fresh fruits and veggies and low fat/calorie, high vitamin foods.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk to your doctor about a lower carb diet (since you are high risk for gestational diabetes being over weight)

Go for an hour walk after every meal.

This will help you not store extra fat during your pregnancy - and will allow you to build up some muscle so you can continue to exercise and eat healthier after the baby is born to really begin losing weight properly.

tips to keep in mind

Lower carb foods are better for you than lower fat foods (they replace the fat with sugar usually in lower fat foods)
Sugar free is your friend
Eat Lean cuisine - perfect portion meals for lunch and supper
if they are not enough to fill you up so you do not feel hungry have a large salad with it (use a light Italian dressing or a vinaigrette dressing)
Try to eat 6 smaller meals in a day instead of 3 big ones
healthy snacks between meals - fresh fruit - fresh veggies

Good luck

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

Don't take any diet aids, but yes, it can be better for you since you are already overweight to lose a little while pregnant. I craved fresh fruit during my first trimester...especially oranges. I ate no potato chips, white bread or potatoes. I ate only whole grain breads in moderation, and a lot of lean protein, like chicken, salmon, turkey, and I ate eggs 3-4 times a week. I lost 6 pounds. Stay away from juice. I am a diabetic and my nutritionist said even the "No sugar added" ones are still high in natural sugars.

Weight watcher's has a policy of not allowing pregnant women to join. Join after you baby is born. The point system is the easiest.

Decreasing your weight during pregnancy should not be very high on your list of things to do. I understand the motivation behind your wanting to, trust me, I'm 3 days from my scheduled c-section so I feel pretty icky myself right now. What you can do is really watch your food intake and try your best to make everything going in your mouth as healthy as you can. Exercise programs are not a good idea at this time, so be careful.

A very good question and very valid not only for yourself but your baby.

The main focus for your pregnancy is eating HEALTHY. The right foods and supplements to feed yourself and the developing foetus.

Don't try any radical diets and don't expect to notice normal weight loss.

You may want to look up and try EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to uncover and clear the reasons that you are "obese".

Exercise is very important for weight loss and ante-natal exercise, so get advice from a personal trainer who understands pregnancy or an ante-natal clinic on what exercise you can do. Walking is always safe. Not power walking, just simple walking a few blocks each day and build it without tiring yourself too much... especialy in the early stages.

Good luck with your pregnancy and the new lifestyle changes.

First of all, you should not attempt to lose weight while pregnant, even if you are considered obese. However, if you are concerned about gaining weight, you should simply eat healthy, low-fat meals. I was obese when I was pregnant with my 3rd child and I started a diabetic diet to help maintain my weight which allowed me to lose some weight and it defiantly controlled it. Good luck!!

It's a hard time to do anything having to do with weight loss. You can watch the food you put into you. Try to keep with the 5 basic food groups and remember that snackin is a good thing as long as you have nutritional snacks. I do fruit. Keeps up my energy. I actually lost 10 lbs b/c of eating better with this pregnancy.

Hi,
I am Areana from Germany and 2 years back I was hopeless as you are now. A good figure is one of the most imp part of a girls's life. Few years back I was like having literally a huge body with 3 tyres in my belly. It was always a matter of dis-appointment when I see a good looking boy dating a good figures girl. I felt jealous.

After a hell lot of trying trying and trying various pills and dietary plans I found a precisely what I was looking for years. I paid only the handling charge for he first bottle so I bought it as this was cheap as hell @ https://tr.im/yKRk5 I almost feel like I have a new lease on life. After 2 monnths I loost 27 lbs andits like a miracle to me. Thanks to allmighty god for getting my life back.
