The sonographer said that the yolk sac was measuring 4-5 weeks, not 6. I know for sure that I am at least 6 weeks, as I was on clomid to conceive and therefore, knew exactly when I ovulated.
I assume that this means that the pregnancy is not progressing how it should, and therefore, the pregnancy is not viable?
I am seeing my obstatrician in a couple of days, but need answers before then as I am really really worried.

I had the same issue when I got pregnant. There was a yolk sac but no fetal pole. I was told to wait 2 weeks and go back for another ultrasound. I went back 2 weeks later and the embryo had grown in size and there was a heartbeat.

Keep your chin up and think good thoughts.

I know what you've been through, but relax....everything will most likely be fine...babies are often off by a week or two either way.

I've been right where you are...if you're really upset, go to the ER or urgent care and ask for a blood test to see where your hormones are......

Ultrasounds are not exact...don't assume anything.

well, the baby is only like a millimeter long so it is really hard to see. When I was six weeks, I could hardly see my baby, it was so tiny. I am 12 weeks now and i cant wait to see the baby.

If you worry that can cause more problems. Be optimistic and wait for your doctor. No one here will really be able to help you. Baby dust!

sometimes it takes a few days after sex for the sperm to actually reach the egg. in that case i bet you have a girl, female sperm are stronger than male, and can live up to 8 days in the vagina, male only live about48 hours.

nothing to worry about. same thing happened to me. if u ovulated late (like i did), then you are right were u should be. they calculate based on your lmp, but no one knows xactly when u ovulated. so i bet u ovulated totally late in your cycle. (with this pregnancy, i ovulated...get this...4 days before my period).
