Pregnancy - September 2007

Hi there, as some of you may know i have to go for a c section on Monday due to me having Placenta Previa, I went for my 'pre op' yesterday and they took bloods etc for x match, they explained that i should expect to stay in for about 3 - 4 days. I am extremely excited knowing that our baby will be here in a few days but i am really worried about having the section and not being able to do anything afterwards! I'm also worried because the MW told me that i am to have paracetamol / co codamol to ease the pain after the op but the thing is, if i take 1 pain killer i'm dead to the world and worried in case i dont hear my baby cry for a feed at during the night if im doped up on painkillers!! This post is just a rant really about me being worried lol but if you can offer any good advice about my situation then please feel free!! All the best x

im 3 months and 6 days, iv gone for my licence 4 times failed each time for pathetic reasons like putting my clutch to much and 1km over the speed limit (i mean you dont even get pulled over for that ****) well what im trying to say is that the next available test date wont be pritty much untill i have the baby i was wondering how hard it actually is to have a baby and not have a car licence im really trying to get it im 19 in october and my fiance is telling that he will help me get it that i just need to keep going but im starting to loose faith i am a very good driver the people who tested me said so just that i need to focus on these stupid things has anyone been in my position???

ok so i had my period on sept 3rd. i took ovulation tests and it said ovulating on the 17th. well i have been feeling really nauseated, have heartburn and dont feel like myself. i have been very irritable. i have also been having these pains in my lower sides for the last couple of days. could it be implantation or could i already be pregnant? also my period is not due till the first when would be the best time to test?

We been married for nearly two years now, and cannot conceive a child. My wife has been in BC pills when we were working abroad 2 years ago and decided to stop on Aug. 2005. After she stopped taking pills, she has been irregular for one year, what i mean is, five months w/o period then one month with then another 5 months without, only last year in September she had a continuous period until now. Another thing was, last Aug, she's delayed by 15 days, and i supposed she was pregnant already, then she had her period on her 36th day, then this month, her period came on her 24th day. Please help.

My house smells really musty, and so does my clean laundry.
Me and my sister are the only one's who can smell it, but for me it's unbearable (makes me want to vomit). Are we smelling something that is not there because we are pregnant or are we the only one's who can smell it because we are both pregnant? What do you think? Has something similar happened to you?

my fiance is really stressed. he was grouchy all day and now he just called from work to say he was sorry for being grouchy, that he is just so stressed out because of work, he told me that he is worried about supporting our family because he is on call for the next three months and he doesn't always get called in for 40 hours. i don't know what to do for him. I'm 26 weeks pregnant tomorrow and we are super excited. We planned for this baby and everything and he is super excited to be a daddy to his son. I work part-time (30 hours) plus go to school full-time. I told him everything would be ok but I just don't want him to feel like this for the next three months. what can i do to help him so he's not so stressed? It makes me sad to see him like this.

i have made my decision already so please dont lecture me here- i already have a priest.
i am 18, on an athletic scholarship in college, and 6 weeks pregnant. if i dont participate in my sport i will more or less get kicked out of school. i need to have an abortion this week. i know the pill is less invasive, but i've heard the surgical one is 'cleaner' in that the aftermath wont be as hard to deal with, and bleeding will be lighter and not last as long. i need to be back and able to play within no more than three days after the abortion. please any input? which should i do?

I don't want some type of internet answer that you find off of a website and I don't want an answer that you find from a book (I have already read plenty.)

I want to know from people's personal experiences, do labor contractions actually have to be painful to classify as labor contractions?Also, what else (if anything else) do you feel a long with them, such as pain in your vaginal area, ect? If you have never given birth, please do not answer. I need to find this out asap. I am 41 wks preg and very curious.

I've been told to sign up for Childbirth classes by the WIC office. Of course I'm going to do it, but is this the same as Lamaze or is that a different class I'll have to take altogether?

I know some cramps during pregnancy is normal. but i always seem to have cramping in my lower abdomen later in the day. I have no bleeding and last time i called my office they said as long as it goes away with a postition change it is ok, but this is every night. Anyone else have this?

I'm nearly 30 weeks pregnant, I have worried so much about miscarage right from the time I found out I'm pregnant.

I read too much about listeria laying on your back for too long, overheating etc etc. I'm paranoid about how long I cook food for and how hot it is and I won't eat seafood except for a very small portion of fish a week.

My ultasounds at 12 and 22 weeks show baby is very healthy but I wonder what causes some healthy pregnancies to result in still borns or birth defects?

i've just had my 1st child this year i've breastfed him the entire time, hes now 8months old. He absolutley does not take a bottle. i've had unprotected sex, using the pull out method with his father. Do you think its possible i'm already pregnant? What are some signs? and will i stop lactating if i am?

My sister keeps telling me that I am going to have an extremely nervous baby because I enjoy spicy food. Now to me my level of spiciness is not that spicy, but to her it is extreme. I don't eat spicy food every day, I'd say 3-4x a week I am eating spicy food. But she swears that I am making my baby an emotional wreck because of it. I keep telling her that your food is broken down before it reaches the baby and that it DOESN'T MATTER. My doctor even told me that there is nothing wrong with eating spicy food and that my child will be fine. But, what do you all think, just out of curiosity!

I just had a miscariage on 9/12/07 with twins. I bled for about 4 days, and i had sex with my husband like everyday after that lol.(IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND).

Never the less, im cramping now, and it's been about 8-9 days since i had sex.

I miscarried naturally, and the doctor did an ultrasound to confirm everything was gone. Do you think this could be ovulation pain? I know i CAN'T BE PREGNANT FROM HAVING SEX THE 15, OR UP BECAUSE ITS NOT ENOUGH TIME...I DON'T THINK.LOL

any comments (positive) are greatly appreciated.

My Ob/Gyn put me on Ondansetron for severe morning sickness, has any one you been put on this? If so, I'd like a little reassurance that it's safe, I know it's kind of crazy, but it worries me.

with a transvaginal ultrasound? if so did you have any signs of pregnancy before that? how months were you when u found out? did you still have ur periods but were pregnant? and did you get negative hpt? any info u can give me would be great because i am getting one done on mon. and curious
